Digital Art Gallery (2): an original collection
52You know when I first started doing these I just managed to produce a few squiggles. I started with Microsoft paint in accessories, that program was rather different then and through trial and error and the relief of boredom I actually produced some art worthy of framing.
Their current program is not nearly so flexible and I could no LONGER PRODUCE WHAT I DID THEN, but the current program is suitable for beginners but when I discovered Paint.Net I found this much more satisfactory but it is still in the experimental stage so it too does have its deficiencies. So after having a play with the program in Microsoft accessories, you too may like to move on to another art program.
What I like about Paint.NET is that it is free and that's a good price, I think.
And I have no idea whether what I do will ever have any commercial value, so free is just right.
It's more to do with manipulating the computer art tools than it is about producing initially good art or designs, if you do come up with something good it's generally some sort of accident.
Whatever it is I enjoy doing it and seeing just how inventive and creative I can be. I hope you enjoy my small collection. I have certainly enjoyed doing them. It's a challenge for the mind, really and I like that. It's also an escape from more pressing issues and that is something we all seek.

sabu, what a lovely thing for you to say, keep on looking at the colours your colour vision just may improve.
Guess what? I am colour blind no longer, lol. Just how do you do this Katy? If this is something learned in five easy steps, would you like to share?
sabu, basically just trial and error, I'll give some more explanations for you in my next hub, watch for it in about 1 week's time
Whoa! You have taken this to a whole new level. "Rich Violet Textures" is gorgeous BUT "Luscious Fruits and their Juices" is your best piece of art ever, in my opinion. Unbelievable!
James, you always say such lovely things, and your feedback is inspirational, I started off trying to lead folks by the hand, the last few I have not done that although there is still a certain element of that there, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to come up with new ideas.
I'm so glad you liked it.

Absolutely fabulous Katy. Even for a colour-blind person like me, these are striking. Congratulations, O Talented One.
