Since digital picture frames are becoming so popular these days, it is no surprise that they are becoming smaller and more portable.  There are many tiny ones on the market today, and one of them is the Pocket Album Deluxe from Digital Foci.

>

From out of the box, the Digital Foci proves itself as one of the most high contrast picture frames with a ratio of ten thousand to one.  The colors look rich on the 2.8 inch OLED screen with a pixel resolution of 320 x 240.

Getting the pictures on the Pocket Album wasn’t too tricky.  Most of the digital picture frames that I have dealt with usually require a USB to mini-USB connection to a computer, which will usually recognize it like it would a Flash drive.  From there, it is as easy as dragging and dropping picture files just like you would any other file to any digital folder.

The Pocket Album Deluxe has the conventional cord, but loading the pictures requires Photo Manager Software program that comes within the miniature digital picture frame itself.  The program is a simple drag and drop that works very well, and my pictures were on the frame within minutes after it was downloaded to my computer, which also didn’t take very long.

>

The Pocket Album automatically made a slideshow out of all the pictures that were downloaded on it, and it can store up to 4,000 digital photos.  In addition to the many variations that the user has for their photos, the Pocket Album Deluxe also has a calendar and built-in clock.  The user has the option of putting a photo as wallpaper on the calendar.

I found that the Pocket Album Deluxe had so many options for slideshows, that I couldn’t really even begin to list them.  Let’s just say that a user will have a lot of fun as they figure out what type of display to use, such as the 2x2 formation.

As for the power, it has a lithium-polymer battery with about five hours of battery life that steps from the USB cord or AC power cord.

The Pocket Album Deluxe OLED 2.8 comes with an acrylic viewing stand in case you want to put it on display.  If you want some extra portable power, it also comes with a wrist strap and protective carrying case.  You should be able to purchase it on the Digital Foci site for about $89.00.
