Dinner Spots Off The Las Vegas Strip

Sometimes the glitz, glamour and traffic of the Las Vegas strip can be hectic and a little too much. Maybe you want to find a hip and happening spot that is off of the Las Vegas strip. Restaurants off of the Las Vegas strip can be beneficial because you don't compete with tourists to get into the restaurant which means there isn't as long of a waiting time. The restaurant food also competes with Las Vegas strip restaurants and can sometimes exceed and surpass Las Vegas strip food. Here are my top five off the strip restaurants.

Panevino Restaurant is an off of the strip but not far. The views of the strip are breathtaking. If you are looking for a nice and romantic restaurant take your date to this spot after sunset. The dining room has floor to ceiling windows that provide a breathtaking view of the Las Vegas strip. They serve traditional Italian Cuisine and have an extensive wine list. The menu complements the wine. For an appetizer try the Polpettine di Granchio it is a Maryland style crab cake that is simply delectable.

Hugo's Cellar is located downtown under the Four Queens Hotel and Casino. Hugo's Cellar is indeed a cellar but also a very romantic and intimate restaurant. The restaurant is very dimly lit and each female guest is given a rose when she enters. The salad is prepared at your table from a cart full of many various choices. For romantic dining, look no further than Hugo's Cellar.

The Tillerman is located about five minutes from the strip and features a steak and seafood dinner. It is family owned and operated. The Tillerman has been around for twenty years. Entrée's can range from anywhere from $18.00 upwards to about $65 so be prepared for a hefty bill. While the dinner may be slightly expensive the restaurant is stunning. Romantic and cozy would best describe it. The restaurant consists of several different dining rooms, you may wish to dine privately, some of the dining rooms even feature a retractable roof. The path to the Tillerman is lined with sparkling palm trees that add that perfect touch of romance.

Bahama Breeze is located just East of the strip on Flamingo. While Bahama Breeze is not local to Las Vegas they still offer some of the best dining and service around. If you are looking for delicious and unique Caribbean inspired food Bahama Breeze is the place to go. The Bahamarita is a delicious tropical twist on the traditional margarita. For an appetizer I recommend the Roasted Cuban Bread it is not expensive at under $6.00. Bahama Breeze is definitely a choice restaurant for fabulous dining.

Hash House A Go Go is one of the most unique restaurants in Las Vegas. They have two locations nationally and have been voted Best Breakfast in Las Vegas by AOL users. What makes Hash House A Go Go so unique? If it is not their metallic, sleek, modern interior then it would have be that they serve big food. In fact, most people the first time eating there take pictures of their plates and food. So be prepared to share a dish with someone or take home two days worth of left offers when you visit. Even the straws on some of the drinks are about four times the size of a normal straw. For breakfast, waffles are my top pick. If you go to the Hash House for lunch of dinner the chicken pot pie is delicious or try a stuffed burger. The buttermilk biscuits that they serve are hands down the best biscuits I have ever had. No matter what you choose to eat your dining experience at Hash House A Go Go is sure to be one you won't forget anytime soon.
