Today I awoke to feelings of anger, hurt, and more pain. I was, in a sinister way, forced to plead guilty yesterday to a crime I did not commit.

Why would I plead guilty, you ask?

It was for my family's sake. I would have been putting their well-being on the roulette table otherwise. When the one's who set you up wear badges and guns, the battle to prove innocence can be difficult.

When we first moved to this property several years back I had several problems with other neighbors, stray dogs, and other issues. Methamphetamine is a large problem here and it is quite evident that "junkies" aren't the only addicts here. There are business people and civil servants on the "crap" too.

I found our sheriff department just never wanted to help with any of these problems. I vowed to myself I would vote for a different sheriff at the next election.

We led our lives the best we could and just tried to not have to call this agency that did nothing for us. Everything fell apart when my Grandson was killed. My voice spoke loud about the politics in Lebanon, Missouri and Laclede county. I wrote opinions on our local forums about many of their policies here. The links to those forums are on the right.

I had many arguments with others on these forums and made many friends too. Many people in my position would have crawled into a bottle of whiskey or even worse, went and killed the killer. I did what I knew was right; I prayed, went to church, and have fought for Justice For Jonathan.

My truck has a picture of that precious little boy and a sign that reads: Will Laclede County Allow This Baby's Death To Go Unpunished? I get honked at, sneered, waved to and fingered. I have been threatened, harassed, hugged, and thanked for finally being a voice for children.

Many people have warned me that I may get killed or even worse, my family. The reason they say is that I am stepping on people's toes. To that I say, "oh well, they should have done it right."

I have tried to speak with our prosecutor, Angie Hemphill Wright. She won't answer my calls, nor will she see me. It has been well over 2 years and the guy walks free, not to mention, I think he lives with a girl that has a child or two.

A few months back, I read where our sheriff's department allowed a firearm to get all the way through into our jail. I posted about it on the local forum and there was quite an uproar over it. I never thought that thread would cause me a hassle about 1 week later.

Now back to the original point, many of you are probably wondering what I plead guilty to.

A few months back, we had a mean dog on our deck. My daughter was on her way home from her employment and it was late. I tried to chase this dog off. It just growled and snarled at me from the corner of my deck.

I had explained earlier in this hub how the sheriff department treated us and when I called about dogs killing my chickens and such, they would say to just shoot them. I figured this night would be no different and a friend of ours had loaned my wife a .410 shotgun. It was for her safety when I was gone, after all David Olson was still on the streets and had murdered our Grandson.

I loaded the .410 and shot the dog. I then dragged it out near the gravel road to deal with it the next morning. I went in the house to prepare for bed. My wife was also up sitting in her underwear.

Bang,bang,bang; someone was pounding on our front door. I opened it to a sheriff deputy (his name tag said Price). He was very arrogant and asked what my problem was. I went outside and closed the door, after all, my wife was in her undies. There was another deputy to and his name tag said Mayfield. I showed them the dog and explained what had happened. Deputy Mayfield told Price that this is what they had told us to do. I thought all was well and preceded to go back up my deck. I thought the deputies were leaving. When I opened my storm door, this deputy Price forced his way past me into my home. I was screaming to stop as was my wife. He was shining his flashlight all over my wife and when I asked Price what his problem was he just started shining his light all over my computer desk.

I have a very disorganized desk with lots of junk. I also have an ashtray that I take with me out on the deck for cigarette breaks. Price found a piece of torn baggie with nothing in it. He yelled that I had drug paraphernalia. I laughed at him as I was posting on the Ozarks Regional Forum what they were doing to us. Price yelled at me to go outside which I just calmly said no. I asked if I was under arrest and he said no, detained which is the same thing. He then started reaching for his tazer and my wife yelled for me to go outside.

To make a long story short, I received a ticket for paraphernalia; a torn baggie. I decided I would fight it. I am laid off and didn't have money for an attorney so I requested a public defender.

When I met with this public defender, I was asked about tweezers that were tested and found to have marijuana residue. I was flabbergasted; there were never any tweezers taken from our home.

My wife and I discussed this whole situation and I proceeded to email our local sheriff, Richard Wrinkle. We said that we would both take polygraph tests on these tweezers. I never received an answer. I also brought that up with the public defender and she went to the prosecutors with the proposition. Angie Hemphill Wright and Jon Morris wouldn't let us. I wonder why? Probably because they knew I would pass it.

They offered me a deal, plead guilty with a $500 fine or face a jury when it would be our word against two badge wearing crooks. I could have received 1 year in jail which would have screwed our lives up terribly. Yes I was forced to plead guilty.

I hope these people are very happy; they have just accomplished the feat of punishing victims and still will not go after a baby killer.

If you ever come through Laclede county Missouri, be very careful.

I must also add that in all the years when I did smoke "pot" I have never used tweezers.

Deputy Price and Deputy Mayfield, I hope you guys are real proud. You managed to get a "real" criminal didn't you? Sheriff Richard Wrinkle, I guess you want a dirty force or are you dirty too?

I will pay the $500 fine and help this county's financial woes.

I just want everyone to know how evil some of the people in this county are.

I love God, I love Jesus and I love my family. I would not lie about something this petty.

I will not shut up if that is what you would have me do. There has been injustice after injustice here and it is time for this evil to die.

May God lay his hand on this land and heal it of the evil of lies and deceit.
