Just when you think they've thought of everything, something new comes out, of course.

I find this to actually be an exciting idea, if it can be implemented with no adverse effects on the overall safety of driving.

What a blessing to never have to worry about doors hitting other people's on crowded parking lots, being able to personally exit the car more easily and for the wider open area from which to unload children from a carseat, packages, etc.

Regardless, I found the idea fascinating and am sure some of the big carmakers will be refining and integrating this idea very soon, however, you can have your car outfitted with these disappearing doors right now if you wish. (and can afford it!)
