Disco At Your Living Room
66Sometimes we host a party in our house, a birthday party, thanksgiving party, wedding anniversary or any special occasion party. Of course in a party, there's food, drinks and entertainment. One of the entertainments that we can give to our guest is disco or dancing. You can set up your own disco room at your home without spending money. All you need is your laptop and PC speakers, just connect the PC speakers to your laptop through the headphone jack.
Zulu DJ Software
Then connect your laptop to the internet and go to this website address www.nch.com.au/dj/index.html. Download the Zulu professional DJ software. This is a program which lets you mix music live using your PC. After downloading Zulu, if you don't have your favorite MP3 dance tracks in your laptop, you can download some from LimeWire or any website that has free MP3 music downloads.

Becoming A DJ
When all of these are ready, first thing that you will do is to familiarize the Zulu DJ software, its controls and the loading of the audio files onto it. First click the ADD button at the lower left side of the screen. Then choose the MP3 track that you want to play and click open. Then point the cursor to that track and right click, click ADD TO DECK A. The MP3 track will be loaded to DECK A. Click the play/pause button and move the crossfader all the way to left. By the way the crossfader is located in the center of the Zulu interface, between each deck and above the master volume control. It is a horizontal slider that you can move from left to right or right to left with your mouse. When the crossfader is set completely to the left you will only hear the music playing in Deck A. When you set the crossfader completely to the right you will only hear the music playing in Deck B. As you move the crossfader left to right or right to left, you will hear the music from each deck fade out as the other deck fades in. When a piece of music comes close to finishing example in deck A, you begin to fade in a new piece of music from deck B, while deck B is playing, you keep the crossfader fully to the right. Then you can load a new piece of music playing in deck A so when deck B starts to finish you can start the music in deck A and slowly push the crossfader fully to the left and bring in the new music from Deck A. If you take time to study the other features, you will find many powerful tools that the software can give.
Disco Lights
You can then put some strobe lights in your living room to make the place more lively and entertaining while dancing. If you don't have strobe lights, you can cover your ceiling lights with colored cellophane to make the room colorful.
Enjoy your party!
