Finding used auto parts for your used car can be frustrating. It's usually a bad idea to put brand new parts into an older car, even if the fitting hasn't changed and the new parts would go in without a drama. The drama comes later on, when the high tensile strength of a new part puts it out of balance with more worn parts, loading pressure on joints and bearings beyond their limitations. It is not unusual to see a cascade of failures follow the replacement of just one aged part with a brand new part.
And so the search begins for an appropriately aged part that is still in good condition. Salvage yards offer parts, rebuildable wrecks, highline autos, heavy equipment, and even used vehicles at low prices. Salvage yards competing for your business guarantees you the best price, but you may need to invest some time doing your research, and they don't all offer a money-back guarantee!
Online businesses are usually open 24hrs a day, which can be a big help if you are trying to do your DIY auto repairs nights and weekends.
Finding used auto parts at a discount is usually invaluable to the average consumer. Stores that sell discount auto parts and car engines for Ford, GM, BMW, Chevy, or Honda at a reasonable price can be found.
Online auction sites, such as Ebay, are probably the easiest place to begin your search for classic car parts.
Request a quote online. Used Central's free online parts request form lets you get competitive pricing from junkyards. Some online auto parts sites guarantee that they will have the part you need - but take that with a grain of salt. Drivers of Goggomobiles may struggle, even at the most comprehensive online salvage site.
Sometimes the only option is to go for a new part - seat belts, for example, may be invisibly weakened by being in a wreck, and are best replaced with new ones. You won't have to worry about knock on failures from seat belts, of course, or from head gaskets and other long-term consumables. It is quite safe, in that case, to go ahead any buy new. Just try to find the lowest possible price - it is so easy to be cheated out of your hard-earned cash in the auto parts market.
Searching online for "cheap auto parts" and "discount auto parts" may yield some good results. However, be careful since many places online are auctions for old used parts, not discount stores for new parts at lower prices than others. Do your homework!

I suppose when you think about it, some parts could cause problems with others.
