Dish Network Packages
64I recently got married, quit my job and my new husband and I moved from Tennessee to Virginia. Of course, a move like that means that we needed all new services since our local services for cable, internet, telephone, electric, etc weren’t transferrable to non-affiliates in Virginia. Typically, telephone and electric services were only provided by one source, so those were easy decisions. However, when it came to setting up television service, we were rather surprised to find that we could choose cable or satellite. So, we went in search of the best bargain for what we wanted and Dih Network popped onto our radar.
Not knowing too many people in the area, we had few reliable personal opinions on which to rely, so we immediately began perusing our options online. By far, our best deal came from Dish Network. We finally settled on the Dish DVR Advantage package with a one-year contract that locked us in at a $37.99 per month rate. The DVR Advantage package included more than 200 channels, plus free six months of five premium movie channels of our choice, free receivers & DVR recorders for two rooms and, of course, free installation. We considered the Classic Gold 250 and America’s Everything Pak, but the biggest difference was a few more channels that neither of us held any interest and the option to add GoldHD free for six months, which also held little interest. The only real drawback was the additional cost of $5 per month to add local channels, but in the end, we still came out on top of the other choices available through the cable company.
By getting the DVR Advantage package, we were able to get our favorite channels like Lifetime, Bravo, A&E, ESPN, ESPN2, Cartoon Network, all the major news networks, USA, truTV and so much more so no matter what we’re in the mood for, we can both find something to watch. With the free premium channels, we’ve been able to cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie without having to leave the house! For each movie we watch, we actually put the cost of a movie ticket in a money jar to put towards the purchase of our first home – where we hope Dish Network will follow us. If we truly don’t want to watch anything, though, there are more than a dozen Sirius music channels and we turn our patio into a dance floor.
We didn’t particularly care for their wireless internet options as we had a better package offer through our cellular provider, but as it is a limited time offer, when that has expired, we may reconsider Dish Network’s internet options and perhaps receive an even better deal on our television services! We absolutely LOVE to DISH!
