Dish Network Review
81Alright, I admit it, I’m a TV junkie. A real life, sit-on-the-couch-for-hours, channel-flipping, glazed-eyed TV junkie. There’s no hope for rehabilitation and frankly I don’t want any. I came to terms with that a long time ago and decided the easiest way to live with my addiction was to feed it. Often, and a lot. So I got Dish Network.
Before I get to the review, I want to let you in on a little secret. Ordering Dish Network (or Direct TV for that matter), is not like ordering cable. With cable, you have one company and only one company to choose from. The deal they offer you is the deal you get. Period.
Not so with satellite TV. In fact, if you don’t know HOW or WHERE to order Dish Network, you can wind up getting royally screwed and paying hundreds more than you should.
But more on that in a second. Let’s get back to the Dish Network review…
Why did I choose Dish Network? The short answer is because they offer more channels than anyone else, and to a TV junkie, more is always better. But there were other factors that played into my ultimate decision to sign up with Dish Network.
Everybody’s talking about high definition; how great it is, how you’ll never go back to regular TV viewing once you’ve had the HD experience. I thought it was the next great hype…until I saw for myself the crystal clear picture and life-like details that HD brings to the screen. Dish Network gives you access to 32 HD channels. That translates into more than 200 hours a day of high definition programming from across the nation.
Their pay-per-view options include movies for the family, high def movies and international selections, plus more pay-per-view sports events than you’ll have time to watch. You can even visit the movie channels and get a five-minute preview before you order. There’s so much to see with Dish Network it’s a good thing they offer a free DVR! In fact, rumor has it that many TiVo owners are now using Dish Network’s DVR instead for its superior performance and capabilities.
When it comes to pricing, Dish Network takes less money from your checking account each month than most of their competitors, and significantly less than the cable companies. Combine that with their award-winning customer service department and it’s a sweet deal all the way around.
I didn’t know all this when I first decided to switch to a satellite TV system. And let me tell you, it was no picnic sifting through the crap to find the truth. Now let’s get back to that little secret I mentioned earlier.
Listen up, because this is where you’re going to learn how to save close to $500 on Dish Network service.
Most websites don’t put their best Dish Network deals on their homepage. You have to look at some of the hidden inner pages to find the best deal for your money. And if that’s not difficult enough, just Google the words ‘Dish Network’. 3.7 million sites!
So now you basically have two options. Brew another cup of coffee or two (or grab a case of Red Bull) and start sifting through those three million sites to find the best deal, or…
Go here (click on the link), straight to the source of all my knowledge and spare yourself the nightmare of trying to sort it all out on your own.
Why am I telling you to click on this link? Because this is one of those secret inner pages I was talking about earlier – the ones where the Dish companies park their best deals for people who are smart enough to find them.
You can be one of those guys (the smart ones), or you can be like the rest of the crowd and wind up paying too much for the service. Choice is yours.
But I digress from the review. I need to also mention Dish Network’s international programming. 130 international channels in more than 25 languages. This level of global viewing lifts Dish Network out of the pack and puts them in the lead.
There’s more to tell about Dish Network than the space of this review allows. I’ll leave you again with the best piece of advice I can offer - one TV junkie to another.
Don’t forget NOT to settle for those so-called deals you’ll see while you’re blindly surfing around comparing Dish companies.
Just click here and you’ll see the place I used (and that I also told my own mother about) to get a super-sweet deal when I ordered service. It won’t be hard to decide once you see what these guys are offering – and you don’t have to jump through hoops to find it.
Hope that helps.

The service with Dish network stinks. I just signed up with dish network after canceling my direct, and I regret the most. First of all, I had to take a day off to have them install it and guess what, they installed the wrong dish. Nothing worked, I was so furious the fact that I wasted my work day. The technician promised that we will get an apppointment on Saturday, and they later we found out that they could come only on Sunday, changed my kids' schedule and have them reinstall the dish. It took them 5 hours again just to change the dish. Tech had no idea how to do the installation. He kept calling some one else for directions a thousand times. They are liars, nothing worked again. I spent enormous time on the phone, still no fix. Now they are saying that they will come this week and fix it,and if it still did not work I am going to let the FTC know. I really think no customers should be cheated this way!!!!!!!!!!it is really pathetic..
I agree with the other guy, the install techs are slow and don't know what they are doing. The service with dish also sucks, I went back to direct tv simply for better tv and customer service. The Customer Service at dish is even worse than the sat service. AVOID DISH at all cost if you really want to enjoy a clear picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!
