Asus Disney Netbook Pretty in Pink
Buy a Disney Netpal Netbook by Asus for Christmas!
Asus are the guys who invented Netbooks - orignally for people who couldn't afford notebooks, but they became so popular they expanded netbooks into a whole new segment of computing. They have now signed a deal with Disney and have produced the Disney Netpal netbook for kids. The age range is 6 - 12 but I would suggest it is more towards the 6 end than the 12. Be that as it may it would make a nice present and with Christmas fast approaching might be worth bearing in mind if you are willing to pay $350 for a computer for your kids.
Asus says the Disney Netpal makes computing safe, easy and fun! On the outside it certainly looks more appealing than the ordinary black netbook and I would think kids would prefer it. There are two colors to choose from - pink for princesses and blue for magicians.
Netbook Internet Safety Features Pre-Installed
The netpal netbook comes with pre-installed safety features, because we all know what's on the Internet and that kids should be steered clear of some of the stuff.
The Netpal has a whole range of Disney applications and games for kids, Disney graphics and a Mickey webcam.
Kids are able to brighten up their desktops with Disney themes and Pixar’s animated characters.
Features include :
Disney Mix for managing your stuff, Disney Pix for photo editing/creating, live streaming Radio Disney for washing your kids brains (oops did I really say that ?). There is also a memory game, a driving game, and a photo scrapbook.
The Asus Disney Netpal netbook is durable and kiddy-friendly i.e. it is reinforced and has a spill-proof keyboard, it also features ShockShield Data Protection to prevent data loss if it is dropped or banged. It is fitted with a "stable embedded polymer battery" that the kids can't remove thus avoiding electrical dangers.
