Disobedience Honors God!
57The time has come! With all the political, legal and moral turmoil
coming to bear in the United States, God's people must learn to
adjust their thinking in order to address these problems. Old
patterns of thought and action are not sufficient. Being nice has
not and is not working. Pagans, atheists, humanists, homosexuals,
lesbians, anarchists, subverters, rebels and tyrannical officials
are not being convinced of the rightness of our positions. It's
obvious what the response of Christians everywhere should be.
Common sense is shouting to us this remedy for the country's ills;
plain ol' everyday disobedience to God and His Word.
Personally, I'm ashamed at my past inability to discern this
profound revelation. I'm sure others are, too! After having so many
examples from Scripture and the success their disobedience brought
their way, I'm guilty of not seeing the darkness before now.
Blinded by dwelling in the Light, I was unable to perceive the great
body of truth beyond the Light. For those tirelessly trying to
convince me of coming into the darkness, I can only humbly ask your
darkened forgiveness. For those willing to offer their forgiveness,
I salute you and join you in your fight to restore the rightful place
of Christians in this country. I, too, am tired of turning the other
cheek while those striking at me the first time gleefully strike me
again. I'm sick and tired of obeying Christ and watching my enemies
prosper. Jesus obviously has never been in a position similar to ours,
so His authority and understanding in these matters suffers.
Confronting evil requires methods unique to man in a position of
vulnerability before desperate government officials, which Jesus is
unable to identify with. After all, turning the other cheek got Jesus
crucified. Nothing like that is going to happen to me! Now that I
think of it, turning the other cheek and not standing in opposition to
government officials has traditionally gotten many of the followers of
Jesus killed. Paul, instead of piously trying to convince those in Rome
to overcome evil with good, should have advocated the political changes
necessary to elevate Christians to their rightful place in that society.
His direction to submit to and not resist government officials was
nothing but a weak attempt to convince Christians that God had placed
these people there! Can you imagine that?! Couldn't He see that
Christians needed to construct political action committees and other
organizations to fight Rome? As an Apostle of Christ, the man was
obviously as blind as I have been, or more.
With the pride of darkness, I march in step with those trying to elevate
this country to its past glory. The silent majority will not stay silent
any longer. After all, it's "We the People" who have the power in this
country, not the Creator. He delegated it to us to exercise. It's time
we exercised it to the fullest degree, since this is the greatest nation
ever. Forget the nation of weaklings founded by the Savior of the World.
It has consistently been ground into the earth by its devotion to Jesus.
It's time for this nation to elevate herself by whatever means necessary
to her deserved position and then defend her by whatever means necessary
because failure, perceived or otherwise, is not an option in our cause.
Our motto should be the same as our Founding Fathers, "Rebellion to
tyrants is obedience to God." I realize Proverbs 17:11 says that
"An evil man seeks only rebellion," but like Thomas Jefferson said, a
little revolution now and them was a necessary thing. Besides,
Christians need to develop an evil attitude in order to bring about the
changes necessary.
I can assure you of one thing, though. As soon as
America is elevated back to her rightful position, God needs to be
elevated back to His rightful position. I realize that God is not
honored in the breach of our disobedience, but a crusade against tyranny
is necessary. I'm sure God will wink at our breach and bless our endeavor.
It's time God joined us in our truth outside the Light, so He is once
again respected in this country. After all, it's the least "We the People"
can do for Him.
