Disposable Wedding Cameras

Although disposable wedding cameras or single use cameras are not a replacement for a professional wedding photographer, they do save money for the new couple as far as their photography budget is concerned, and can provide the most memorable shots at a fraction of the cost of what the pro photographer will charge.

Popular Wedding Favor

Many new couples will choose to have disposable wedding cameras scattered about throughout the reception area with a printed note that encourages their guests to use the cameras during the reception to capture moments that their photographer might miss.  This provides the guests with a fun and meaningful activity during the reception – and you may just end up with some unforgettable shots that you'll love.  Oftentimes, the busy pro wedding photographer will be so enthralled with taking beautiful pictures of the bride, groom, and the wedding party that they fail to really capture the spirit of the reception.  And because these disposable wedding cameras are easy to use (just point and shoot, flash is built in), any guest can use them.  When the wedding reception ends, an appointed person just collects the cameras and drops them off like traditional film for developing – it's that simple, and that fun! In most cases, these shots will be ready for the new couple when they arrive back home from their honeymoon – and are a welcome surprise since wedding photographs can take months to come back.

Types of Disposable Wedding Cameras

There are disposable wedding cameras made by your film companies, as well as "store brands" that work just as well as the name brand.  You can find the disposable wedding camera in exposures of 15 to 36.  Some stores will often package these in bundles of three cameras – which makes your purchase cost less than purchasing one camera at a time.

Backgrounds in Disposable Wedding Cameras

Most of the disposable wedding cameras out there also have the option of having a fun background printed right on the picture.  Various designs are available with different colors, designs, and lettering.  As an example, a graphic of a wedding cake alongside two champagne glasses and the words "wedding party" appears to the right side of the photo in one type of disposable wedding camera.  These cameras are relatively inexpensive, most costing less than $8 each.
