My name is Dixie and I am a beagle-mix. I am the ruler of the roost..well except for that pesky cat and thats because she was here first. She told me that she would be the main ruler...So what was a cute pup like me to do?

Well, I am all grown up now...and the cats still the boss. But thats ok. I have trained my humans well. I keep them on their toes.hehehehehe.

I like to see the woman human when I am out side. If I can't I bark and bark and bark. I love to bark any way.......but the humans do not like it. The neighbors hate it, So I get to stay in the house more than the other dogs in the family.

The humans have a nice leather living room suite. I prefer to sit on top of the back of the couch. I can see everything from there. If I don't like what I see I will bark and growl. And although I am a cute beagle mix if I don't like you I will bite you!!!

I also dig, dig the fence line, the middle of the yard. I dig dig dig. oh, there is a bird, bark bark bark....oh a squirrel bark bark bark....now i will go in the humans do not like barking.

I have a new trick... I can escape and be free!!!!! I can jump the privacy fence. I am off and running here comes my master....I just ignore him and off I go. Poor old man can't keep up. I will sniff the flower to let him catch up. Uh oh he thinks he is going to catch me.......off I go again pretending I don't know my name. Pretending I don't see my masters.....sniff sniff nose to the ground off I go finding wonderful scents. sometimes they are so good I have to lay down and roll around on them...........mmmmmmmmmmmm.

My masters have give up running and shouting my name and I have grown tired. I will go home now.......They will be so glad to see me. I will give them The Look with my little beagle eyes and the wag of my tail. I will be in good graces until my next escape!!!!

When its bed time I sleep under the covers. I love to be warm and snuggly. I will dream of running and playing, I will kick in my sleep. My master will pet me and I will know all is right with the world.

Tommorrow I will see how many holes the humans filled in. and what they have done to prevent my next escape.......They have not learned that I am an escape artist. I may just bark tommorrow....it just depends on how I feel.

I have a puppy.....and there is another dog that I have decided I do not like so I fight with her. The humans keep us seperated.for the most part. I keep them busy.........

The humans have buried cinderbocks to keep me and my pup from digging..They now tie me out to keep me from jumping over the fence. Oh well, I will bark and just slip out the door when they least expect it.......I am beagle I am invinsible.........My owners vow that they are smarter than I am and its their way or the high way..........we will see who the winner will be. For now though I will be good. Tune in for the next quest ........Dixie
