Do Married Men EVER Leave Their Wives For
72From my experience, they do. I was in an abusive relationship with a woman for 10 years, (as the abused, not the abuser). My ex became a narcissistic psycho, and near the end of our relationship became physically abusive. She started having affairs, running around at all hours of the day and night, and smoking crack cocaine. It wasn't until the relationship was over that I could see what was really going on. I am not condoning cheating, but I did. I met the most wonderful woman that I could have ever hoped for, and she helped me to end the cycle of abuse that I was living. We have been our relationship for two years now.
If you, or someone you know is in an abusive relationship, help them to end the cycle of abuse. No one should have to live that way.

Okay, I don't condone cheating, but could anyone have blamed you? I mean, really? Crack cocaine?
Maybe you should have technically left your wife before starting the relationship, but really, it's just good that you're out of the abusive relationship. How long have you & your significant other been together now?
I reckon plenty of married men leave their wives for the other woman, especially when they hit midlife crisis. Do they marry the other woman? Not always, depends on how young the new woman is. Living with an abusive person is detrimental to your health and good on you for getting out and finding happiness.
Well, let's see:
1. Wife #1 THOUGHT I left her for wife #2, and I did, but I'd been LOOKING for #2 to serve as an anchor because at that time I was such a wuss, I didn't think I could make it out in one piece without help. Not quite such a pansy now.
2. Wife #2...nah, we parted as best of friends (still are), nothing new on the horizon at the time.
3. Wife #3...no crack cocaine, but emotionally as abusive as above. Left a note on the kitchen table and ran out the back, Jack.
4. Wife #4....no new chick on the scene, though she tried to help me find one before the split 'cause she thought I wouldn't make it without one.
5. Wife #5...first separated because she wouldn't move out of state (MT) with me when some ex-inlaws were trying to take me down & discretion was the better part of valor.
6. Wife #6...hmmm...#3 redux, left a note on the table, dropped off the key, Lee, and set myself free.
7. Wife #7. Oh. That's Pam, as in we're in our 13th year and still joined at the hip with no desire to be otherwise.
Summary: Guess my experience indicates all of the above are correct. Guys do...but only sometimes...in my case once out of 6, though #6 (known now as "double ought six" because she didn't have a license to kill, only to irritate)...anyway, #6 BELIEVES Pam and I had met and that's why I bailed, but in truth we met a bit after the fact.

Thanks Sabre227, for sharing a difficult experience. I hope others read it, and learn from it ,if they are in a similar situation. I am happy that you loved yourself enough to walk away. Too many people sacrafice all of themselves, that is not how it's supposed to be. Happy Hubbing !
