87An Empirical Evaluation: Do Pheromones Work?
Hi Folks,
Three months ago I decided to conduct my own informal, or empirical evaluation of what I found to be the Top 10 most popular pheromone products. The goal was simple, like many other folks I wanted to know, "Does The Stuff Work?"
For those of you that are not aware of pheromone products, in short, they are chemically produced compounds, in some cases with human or animal pheromone additives.
Pheromones, or the chemical replica of a pheromone, is supposed to trigger a natural behavioral response in other people. Pheromones do not require the sense of smell necessarily, it is theorized that humans may unknowingly detect and respond to pheromones through their orthologous receptors, possibly a throw back to our early evolutionary period, in which humans may have been more heavily influenced by pheromones, as other animals still remain so today.
After researching this topic, "do pheromones work," for several weeks I was essentially brought to only two solid scientific conclusions on the matter;
Conclusion 1.
They really don't know, scientifically speaking, do to insufficient clinical research.
Conclusion 2.
Pheromones in fact do "something," to "some people," but they don't really know to "what extent," nor "why" some people respond to them and others do not?
Needless to say, after spending a substantial amount of time reading through some fairly dry scientific clinical studies, these answers were not really a big help to me.
Therefore, I decided to conduct my own empirical evaluation, i.e., "depending upon experience or observation alone," to answer the question for myself, "Do Pheromones Work?" Here are the results of my empirical "pheromone review."
My Empirical Pheromone Testing Method
After doing a considerable amount of online research, I was able to determine what I believed to be the Top 10 Pheromone Products on the market, and ordered them. I will not list them here for reasons of brevity, but suffice it to say for the highlights of my evaluation only three are worth mentioning, I conducted my evaluation over the course of twelve days.
* Pheromone Product 1:
Claimed its affects were to "dissolve personal space between you and the target, enhancing others general friendliness, chattiness, attraction, and making them calm and relaxed around the wearer."
* Pheromone Product 2:
Claimed its affects were to cause "people to trust each-other."
* Pheromone Product 3:
Claimed to give the wearer the "aura of a confident and classy man," and enhanced attraction by the opposite sex.
During my research I found that certain pheromone products can be mixed, or worn together, so as to derive to overall benefits of each product. The notable highlights of my "pheromone review" all are documented from the day that I first applied all three products, as opposed to using one stand alone product by itself.
