Where do press releases fit in your marketing campaigns? If you haven't considered them you're missing out.
There are many reasons for adding this simple but very affective piece to your marketing efforts:
- Press releases are picked up by google if you use your keywords correctly
- Press releases establish you as an "expert" in your field
- Press releases are picked up as "news" from reputable sources such as: freelancers, news journalists, etc.
- Press releases create free publicity for you
Use press releases in your marketing campaign; however, do not use them to "spam" the reader with your business or opportunity.
How To Find Press Releases In Your Industry
Let the "masses" know about a new business development using a press release. If you want an idea about the Press Releases about your particular business you can go to google and type:
inurl:free-press-release.com intitle:business (in place of the word business put your business or industry
You'll be surprised at the number of press releases there are out there for your particular industry.
Please save that little short cut for searching google. It sure does come in handy for narrowing down your searches.

Guidelines For Posting
Before posting a Free Press Release be sure you read the terms and conditions for the particular Press Release website you are using.
Some basic guidelines for setting up your Press Release are:
- Use an eye-catching title
- Use an intro summary paragraph using the KISS method Keep It Short and Simple
- Give some "meat" to your story--do NOT spam your audience--give them value
- Use a summary final paragraph
We personally use Free-Press-Release for our Press Releases.
Use more than one source for submitting your press releases. Here's a pretty good list of Press Release sources.
