Who does not love to watch the birds come and go playfully from a bird house? You can spend hours just watching the birds inspect and give the once over to the bird houses we place in the garden for them! There are such pretty bird houses available in the market, but the one you make, all by yourself , for the birds in your garden, gives you unparalleled satisfaction, pleasure and contentment.

One day, I had this sudden urge to build a birdhouse immediately .I looked around for materials and my eyes fell on a Styrofoam sheet stacked at the corner of my craft room. An idea flashed through my mind. Why not use Styrofoam to make a birdhouse? I did just that and was amazed at the result! It came out quite cute and it can double up as a decorative piece as well.

Step 1.

Mix the plaster of paris, white cement and putty powder using white glue to blend . It should be the consistency of thick batter.

Yes,that's it. Done! Your styrofoam birdhouse is ready! Hope you enjoy building your birdhouse as much as I did!

Neat - nice job. Just be sure to place bird houses well away from your house as they attract rodents that will take up residence in your attic and basement.
