Bringing Back Women Separation?

There are some points on this topic I'd like to clear up with my audience. So if you have any comments please fill me in on the comments below. My questions are though as follows:

1) When was the women era of being separated from men and having no right to vote? Was it during the same time as when women were being taught to prepare for their husband in a sense to prepare for maariage? I've often heared of many old movies refering to "Women's College" as a college strictly to learn how to provide for a family. Is this true? Please ellaborate on this for me.

2) Do women seek the sameness or to be higher then men? I've often realized how much women have more athority over men now in many situations in our "modern day culture". Is this true? Do women have more right's then men because they once were thought of as less then men and now want to be more then men? Does this kind of incorrect balancing act apply to other things to such as racism?

3) Do we live in a free economy or is it free with limits? Or as my parents always told me, Do we live in an economy where you can do what ever you want but you just have to live with the consequences. However, isn't that the same all over the world? What makes the U.S.A any different now adays from any other country? I'd really like to know.

Okay now that i've illistrated on these three main questions I'd like to begin  by saying that Ive not been a proud american for a long time. It's not that I don't like the idea of america, it's just that the idea seems to be lost amongst todays genoration. I don't have any sexist or racist beleifs either. I am a loving person to all and actually quite often despise most people who are either sexist or especially rasist. It hurts me inside. I have a lot of soft spots in my heart what can I say?

So you asked about bringing domestics into our schools again. The reason I asked those questions up front was to illistrate how different our world thinks on these kinds of topics. So it is a very hard question to answer without offending anyone. As you know all of the questions pretained to our freedom between mostly america but also the world in general. Having freedom is awesome if it actually happens. So I'me going to have to say... I don 't think it should be "mandatory" for any one religion or school or beleif to be practiced and forced upon in any public system of society such as our school systems no matter where you live in the world. On the otherhand I equally think there should still  be the option to be there so that students interested in that or pertaining to that beleif can choose to live that way in a manner they feel fit. Often people have varies types of beleifs and having an option un forced to choose anyone of them is a great thing in its self.

All in all I hope this has enlightened the audience of the great pressure our leaders and people in our world are under to make a safe, and fair world for the rest of us to live in. Leaders are often the ones to blame. On the otherhand in our counrty of the U.S.A. we are to blame for any thing that we decide as a nation which is everything even who we choose as president. I hope this fair and justice nation should be to keep this one very important fact to remain factually fact!

Sincerely,

Espian~

In the Air Force I learned how to do my own laundry, sewing, etc. I would have liked a course in such things, and also how to do family economics. I believe too many people today never learned sound ideas for saving, putting off purchases until they could pay for them, etc.

Cheers! Chef Jeff

Hi Espian,

Interesting concept. In school we had a class called "home economics" that taught cooking and sewing. I'm with Chef Jeff. I would love to see schools teach kids about financial basics. I wish I'd had that growing up.

I will also answer your question about "Women's Colleges." Back in the 1900s- up to maybe the 1950s and maybe beyond, there was a concept called the "finishing school." Nice girls went there to prepare for finding and marrying a nice man. I did not attend one of these, but can only imagine they reinforced that the man in the bread winner and the woman runs the household and is the hostess.

True Women's Colleges -- which are few and far between anymore -- are dedicated to providing women (usually very bright, ambitious women) with an education as superior as any provided to men. The idea is that without the distraction of men around on campus, these women can grow into their full academic and social potential. Wellesley College is one such women's college. It is the alma mater of Hillary Clinton, Madeleine Allbrights, Madame ChengKaiSHek (sorry for bad spelling) and any number of talented, high powereddoctors, judges, philanthropists, etc. I hope this helps. espian you give to much credit to the republic, as in rome so in the states the mass has no control over what is really going on the only blame that the mass should be responsible for is allowing this to happen.
