My favourite business book is Michael Gerber's "The E-Myth". He speaks about working on your business, rather than working in your business. He also espouses orchestrating everything so that when you hire a new person they have instructions to follow. Also anyone can walk in and do any job because every task is documented. It is a huge job to put everything you know in an electronic file, however I did this and it made a huge difference when I was ready to sell the business. Also it relieved me of having to keep many things in my head.

Eleven years ago, I was at my wits end. I was struggling in my business. I was not making money. Barely able to keep my head above water. That was when I discovered a man by the name of Joe Polish.

Joe Polish is an information marketer. A student of Dan Kennedy's. Joe had self published a course including the book, "How to get more customers in a month than you get all year."

This book was the genesis of my direct response journey. It was this book, that broke me out of my shell of mediaocrity and turned my business around. But as I said it was the Genesis. Since then I have added many, many more to my list of books that impacted my life. But that is another hub. ;)

By the way you can learn more about Joe Polish at joepolish.com.
