Do you have a favourite IPL Team?

Bangalore Royal Challengers is my favorite IPL team for the simple reason that Rahul Dravid is in it! My loyalties dont shift with the wind, in this case with performance. Who are the other players which make the Royal Challengers interesting?

Jacques Kallis - he is still Jacques Kallis, years of stolid performance, bowl at 140+ km / hr and enough arsenal to frustrate the oppositionn! But stolid is not a word one looks for in Twenty20.

Mark Boucher - Kallis' teammate is stolid too. He is dependable. He can keep wickets And he can score runs - fast! So stolid is not really a bad word! And Boucher played a huge part in chasing 434 against Australia...

There's Misbah and Chanderpaul. Indians wont forget Misbah ul Haq in a hurry after his Twenty20 World Cup exploits and Chanderpaul wont let the World forget him in a hurry! He is one highly underrated batsman! His evolution from a stodgy defender to a flashy go getter has been seamless as well as amazing. He is a winner, make no mistake.

They have the T20 specialists like Cameron White and Ross Taylor, to provide zing.

On the bowling front bangalore have Praveen Kumar, Nathan Bracken, Zaheer Khan, Noffke and Kumble (I would be keen to see how Kumble goes about playing in a Twenty20 match!). Looks strong enough..but the bits and pieces bowlers will have the real say, I guess, like White.

Then the Captain. Rahul Dravid is the real X-Factor in this team. We have seen him change his batting to suit occasions. It will be surtprising if he isnt practising the swinging sixes now!

So here's my team.

PS - No offense meant but i really dont understand why money was spent in getting Wasim Jaffer...he has to prove a lot of people wrong!
