Have you won a lottery, get alerted this may be a scam

Winning Lottery Notifications, Scam Emails, Bank Phishing Fraud, Spoof Websites, Deposed African Dictators and their sad wives tales, and Identitity Theft are different types of internet fraud. Newly added item by the scammers to the already existing list is ATM fraud.

Winning Lottery Notifications: If you recieve an email with a logo of a lottery site congratulating and informing that you have won a lottery of 50,0000 million dollors. How will you react? Immediately you will read the e-mail with a surprise you never purchased a lottery ticket and won the lottry. To convince you and to answer your question a ready made reply in most of these emails will be - that your email address was used in a lottery draw and you were lucky enough to win in that draw. Will you be convinced. Perhaps, Yes. If you receiving such a mail first time. In the end of the mail, there will be information about the procedure to claim the money.

First, they will ask you to provide your personal information and if you this, they will ask you to furnish your bank details. If you got in trap and supplied the information, you may be asked to send some advance money to process your application. Like this, they will ask you send some money for payment of lawyer's charges. When you have spent lot of money then you will know that you have become victim of an email fraud.

Be alerted if:

You know you didn't enter the competition or promotion that you've won.

You're asked for any sort of processing fee or fee to complete legal formalities.
