Why should a healthy adult take vitamin pills? There have been vitamin pills s marketed for any for a very long time, and any people claim all sorts of welfare benefits to the general healing of certain ailments. However, there are aspects of nutritional supplements adults are skeptical that is the requirement to vitamin pills and that the lack of scientific evidence to support claims.  Most expert have written on the effects of free radicals and the requirement to maintain a high level of antioxidants to fight free radicals to bomb our bodies and cause significant disruption to our cells and DNA tissue.

They tell us to increase our daily consumption of the fresh fruit and vegetables to boost the level of antioxidants in our bodies The increased pollution, stress, travel, use of microwaves, mobile phones are growing the amount of free radicals, has cause a general decline in the immunity of most adults. Fruit and vegetables have less vitamins and minerals due to soil, pesticides, insecticides, and storage practices.

 Most of our vitamin and requirements can be met by taking to take a multi-vitamin and mineral vitamin pills. Many of our primary food requirements of the body can not be done by eating alone. Some special groups of people are lacking in certain kinds of vitamins and minerals.

Dieters
People who regularly diet usually have enough C, beta carotene, folate, and potassium Dieters tend to be eating a good amount of fruits and veggies in place of meat and dairy products. They tend to lack zinc, riboflavin, calcium and iodine. These are the vitamins they should focus on supplementing

Vegetarians and vegans
Vegetarian diets contain more nutrition than that ofnon-vegetarian diet. But vegetarians have difficulty with their production of vitamin B12 as it is derived mainly from the feed to livestock. Most vegetarians are women in the increasing risk of anemia, because iron in meat is more easily absorbed than iron from plant sources.

The vitamins contain no calories and are not used by the body for energy but without it your body the cells can not perform certain functions. Supplementing your diet with vitamins and minerals can be one healthier thing we do to help assure our optimal health.
