Do You Believe in Angels

The word 'Angel' is taken from the Greek word 'Angelos' which means 'Messenger'.

An Angel is perceived as an innocent or gentle person i.e.: her child is a perfect angel

The angels are represented throughout the Bible as a body of spiritual beings intermediate between God and men:

Have you ever had an occurrence in your life where you thought you had reached the limit of what you could handle? Have there been times when you felt that enough was enough and you could take no more? It might be the job, the health of a loved one, a situation with a friend or relative that you had no control over but were caring enough to want to help. We have all had situations like this and just when you think you can take no more something happens to alleviate the pressure.

I remember several years ago when there just seemed to be illness after illness in our family and we could not control it. To relieve some of the tension I decided that Angels had such a calming effect on me that I should create some and have them in my home. I started with just one about 10” tall with lots of ribbons & flowers on her (Are all Angels Girls). When my friends and relatives came over they liked what they saw and asked me to make them one. I now make them in 3 different sizes with many different kinds of ribbons & flowers. They go anywhere; I know some business people have them in the lobby of their building for visitors to see when they come in. Senior homes put them around the atriums & visiting rooms for residents & guests to admire. The most popular comment from people is “I feel much calmer when I sit and look at an angel.” It is like when we see a particularly adorable child and say “Doesn’t he/she have the face of an angel and we always smile and feel better about ourselves.

Real Angels are not seen but we know that they are there to help us through tough times. For example imagine yourself driving in the mountains on a snowy day, the roads are icy, there is traffic coming both ways and you aren’t sure if you will make it around the next curve in the road. When this has happened to me I pray, slow down and hope for the best, and as I come out of the snow I know that my Guardian Angel helped me through this. The dictionary defines Guardian Angels as “an angel believed to have special care of a particular individual”

We often give them as gifts to our loved ones to show that we care about them.

Remember when times are tough, you will make it and get past that particular situation there is always an Angel looking over you.

Wouldn’t having an angel in your home give the aura of peace and innocence?

We often relate Angels as a Christmas decoration to bring peace to our home at that special time of year, but why not have peace and tranquility all year round.
