Doc Green's miracle [cannabis] creme - unprecedented pain relief for me
71Topical Cannabis Skin Lotion - For Pain Relief
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the "biggest medical marijuana dispensary in the nation," (according to an employee) Harborside Health Center, in Oakland, CA. I was informed by the ostensibly knowledgeable "budtender" about this topical pain creme, as he inquired if I suffered from any chronic pain. I could go on and on about all of the injuries I've incurred, but the point is/was: I DEFINITELY suffer from chronic pain and was very interested to learn about this product.
Before I go on, I would just like to stipulate that I am in no way affiliated with either Harborside nor Doc Green; I am simply a college student who loves to write and was particularly motivated to review this product because of my profound experience with it (among other reasons).
I have been suffering from chronic pain due to injuries since I was a young teenager, and ever since then my pain and injuries have only gotten worse. Over the years my parents took me to all kinds of doctors and specialists to help and address my pain/injuries. My ankle was put in a cast, and me on crutches; I was prescribed various pain medication (which later lead to an ulcer); I was exempt from any physical activities, even P.E. classes; I was prescribed orthotics...and it keeps going. And that's just scratching the surface of my ankles' histories. The point being, I never was able to suppress and alleviate the pain - and was never truly "diagnosed" with anything for that matter. I'm only 24 but it's hard to truly explain the extent that the pain has debilitated me over the years.
But now I am finally able to almost instantly address any physical pain by simply using Doc Green's Therapeutic Healing Creme to any area with pain. I, too, along with the budtender who recommended it to me, thought it was a placebo effect, initially...but that's until you get into the shower and wash it off. It then becomes apparent that it wasn't your mind alleviating the pain (in the placebo-sense). For me in particular it helps a tremendous amount with my constant back pain.
Here's my best analogy that I can offer, that most people will be able to relate to, as to the experience of using the creme: it's like a very fast-acting, very powerful, great smelling version of applying Icy-Hot to a weak injury. So with that in mind, this creme works great with the more heavy-duty, chronic type pain.
But here's the catch...you need a medical marijuana recommendation from a doctor to order from the website or buy from a dispensary. Now I could go on and on about the benefits of medical marijuana (MMJ), etc. and why we should advocate certain aspects of the industry, but that's all superfluous because there are TONS of incredibly detailed sites, blogs, hubs, etc. that will expound in much greater detail than I would. My hope, and point of this hub, is that someone who is in a situation like, in a great deal of pain, unable to alleviate it without the use of hardcore pain medication, will come across this and discover this amazing alternative. It's safe, it does not get you high/stoned (unless you put a TON on, allegedly), it's relatively cheap, it's natural, it smells great, it works great, blah, blah, right? Not to mention, it isn't [highly] addictive as many of the high strength pain medications are, and there are no side effects that are normally concomitant with those types of meds.
So if that sounds like you, or this sounds appealing, I'll post some links as to where you can find MMJ doctors for recommendations.
Doc Green's Therapeutic Healing Creme
The Bottle/What It's Made From
Even though the information is available on the Doc Greens website (under the links), for collective simplicity I thought I would post what the creme is made from: handcrafted shea butter, vegatable emulsifying wax, aqueous lemongrass extract, shea leaf extract, cannabis extract, palm stearic acid, pure grain alcohol, red palm oil, vanilla extract, phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate, limonese from essential oil, ascorbic acid (vit. C).
It comes in 1 and 4 fluid oz. bottles, $8 and $18 respectively (from the website). I bought two 4 oz. bottles just to stock up because it works so well...not to mention at a marked up $24 from Harborside. Forgive my lack of ebullience.
Check out Doc Green's site, as it provides tons of great information, including recent studies in the MMJ field. Very fascinating.
