There have been reports since 1960 of strange things happening in and around Highgate Cemetery in London England. Some of those strange things include large dogs and other animals found in the area of the cemetery with their throats torn out and all their blood missing. What is feeding on the blood from these animals. Is it a vampire trying to stay out of the spotlight by feeding on the blood of animals instead of humans.

Highgate Vampire Spotted

If it was a animal feeding on the other animals it would eat all of the dead animals or at least part of them not just the blood. And this thing what ever it is feeding on the blood of animals has been going on since at least 1960. And in April of 2001 a lady came running down Swains Lane out of her mind with terror and when she calmed enough she told that she had walked up on a man that looked almost wax like in his features bent over a large dog with his mouth to its throat. She said when she started screaming the man had leaped the wall back into Highgate Cemetery. The large mongrel dog was found and its throat was indeed torn out. Police attempted to find the man but were unable to do so. And that is not the only story told of the man feeding on the blood of animals. He is almost always described as real white looking with almost wax like features. And it is said that he has super human strength. The woman in the story above said that the man leaped 12 feet over a wall with ease. Police did indeed find blood on both sides of the cemetery fence.

Other people have told quite similar stories over the years and continue to do so today. A police bulletin for the area in May of this year asks police officers to be on the look out for large animals drained of blood and to be on the look out for what ever or who ever is doing it.

Many people down throughout the years have said that it is a King Vampire that lives in Highgate Cemetery. There have been reports that he was brought to Highgate Cemetery from Wallachia in what is now Southern Romania. The story goes that he was a medieval nobleman that had practiced black magic and had became a member of the undead, a vampire. And by the time he was smuggled into Highgate Cemetery in the early 1800's he was already a King Vampire. And it is said that even today his coffin is hidden in Highgate Cemetery where it remains to this day.

Human Remains Of The Vampire Have Been Found

On Friday March 13th 1970 yes 1970 a massive vampire hunt was undertaken to try to find and drive a stake through the heart of the vampire but the hunt was not successful and several people who took part in the hunt were reported missing and are still reported as missing today.

On August 1 1970 a headless womans body was found in Highgate Cemetery. The really strange thing that was reported was that there was no blood in or around the body. And it was determined that the woman was one of the missing people from the failed vampire hunt. A massive police search was carried out but her head was never found and lots of dead animals with no blood in them were found in Highgate Cemetery.

Two headless female bodies were found in the Highgate Cemetery on November 10th 2006. Again it was reported there was no blood in or around the bodies so it would appear that something or someone was drinking or removing the blood in some way. The two bodies were never identified and their heads were never found. The two bodies had been posed on the ground holding hands.

And police say that the way Highgate Cemetery is overgrown and in such bad repair that there could be many bodies hid in the cemetery and you would never find them.

So there may indeed be a very old King of the Vampires living today in Highgate Cemetery. So if your ever in the area of Highgate Cemetery use care least you become a meal for the vampire.
