Does No One Remember Nosey Bears!? 80's Kids Toys!

I seriously am beginning to think I was of a very small handful of 80's kids who owned a few nosey bears, because nearly everyone I mention these awesome 80's toys to, look at me like I'm crazy!

I have watched the resurrections of toys such as Strawberry Shortcake, Transformers, and I have even seen remakes of the popular 80's toy Popples.

But hello, where the heck are my bears at?! My Nosey Bears!

These odd little creatures were by far the most interesting collection of stuffed bears I had ever owned.

This one orange colored Nosey Bear I owned was one of my favorites, because when pressed on his inflated tummy, his plastic dome nose would blow up a balloon. You could watch the balloon inflate and deflate with each and every press of his stomach.

I also had a purple Nosey Bear, that I would stare at for hours. A simple squeeze to the bears stomach, and a top inside of her clear see through dome nose would begin spinning like crazy. As a kid, I'd get lost in the non-stop hypnotizing spinning.

My Nosey Bears, my sweet sweet Nosey Bears. I thought that of all toys from the 80's, these would be the ones to make a popular comeback. Take the world of kids by storm, manage to have a whole new generation of booger pickers fall in love, and want them all.

Unfortunately Nosey Bears never made a comeback.

You can still however find these 80's gems for sale in original boxes from the 80's on Ebay, and on Amazon.

I have come across Nosey Bears that would blow air into their dome bubble noses and a slew of paper butterflies would flap around in the bears nose. I have seen ones filled with water, to resemble snow globes, and my kid brothers Nosey Bear of choice was one that would blow pop popcorn flecks all around a plastic popcorn cup. This bear was fun because we would always try to get the popcorn to land in the cup. A game, a plush teddy bear, a wonder... Nosey Bears.

The activity that took place within these bears noses were captivating to me as a child, I could stare at them for hours, and get lost in the little worlds created in their dome noses.

I know toys these days are 100x's more intriguing... but hell, back in those days we didn't need high end electronics or video games to stimulate our brains. A simple Nosey Bear, home made mud pie, or Popple could do the trick.

So here is the first signature in the petition to bringing back Nosey Bears.

Nosey Bears look vaguely familiar. Maybe since they weren't related to a show and weren't an emormous hit is the reason everyone has forgotten the poor little cute bears.

I'm a dude, I didn't give a damn about any little stuffed bears, strawberry shortcake or cabbage patch kids and if I saw a girl with something like that I would grab it and throw it on a rooftop and watch her cry and if I saw another little boy with something like that I would kick his a**.

Ah, sorry Mellas. As I told imadork a while back on his fraggle rock hub, I was a swinging chick in the 80's with no clue about kiddie things. Yep, I had my big ole wild hair, Flash Dance leggings, a Madonna cone bra that could poke an eye out, and I was rockin' all over hell's half acre. ;)

But I do hope you can create a comeback for your nosey bears. :D

You're not crazy. My brother and I both had a nosey bear as kids. Mine was red and had a gumball machine in its nose and when you sqeeze its belly the gumballs would fly around. My brothers was orange had a basketball and a hoop.
