My Skin Was Pink And Raised, And Ugly...

When I found out I was pregnant, I read everything I could find on how to have a healthy pregnancy. As you might expect, most of the information had to do with the baby, but a few of the tips were just for me. One of the things I worried about most was stretch marks. All of my friends who had had kids complained about them constantly. They talked about how unsightly they were and how they could never get rid of them.

I was determined not to let that happen to me. Though I’m no supermodel, I had always taken great pride in my appearance and I worked hard to stay in shape. Searching online, I was relieved to find a number of preventative measures that pregnant women can safely follow in order to reduce the risk of stretch marks.

Simple tips like not gaining too much weight too fast made perfect sense. After all, stretch marks are caused when the collagen beneath the skin is damaged by stress and strain. The result is a stretch mark scar that is difficult to get rid of.

I also made sure that I kept my skin well-moisturized at all time because that can increase its elasticity. Then I used a stretch mark prevention cream that contained ingredients like Vitamin A and E and cocoa butter. All of which are supposed to strengthen the skin.

I even altered my diet to include more nutrient and vitamin-rich foods like fruits and leafy vegetables. In the end, none of it worked. After I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby girl, I noticed the stretch marks on my stomach and thighs. In the beginning they were long red and pink marks that were raised, narrow bands.

With a new baby to care for, I didn’t give them much thought for a few months. But after I started exercising again and getting back in shape, I found myself avoiding the skimpy shorts and midriff bearing workout tops I had worn in the past. That was when I knew I needed to find a good stretch mark removal cream.

A friend of mine who had four kids (yikes!) recommended a stretch mark removal cream that had always worked for her. That night I went online and checked it out. It was produced by a company called Dermology. I’d never heard of them. But after reading a few positive reviews, I decided to give it a try.

In the beginning, it was safe to say that I was skeptical. What little I knew about stretch mark removal cream was not encouraging. Most reviews claimed that the average stretch mark removal cream is little more than hand lotion.

However, there was one thing that every highly-rated stretch mark removal cream I reviewed had in common. They all had ingredients that had been proven to stimulate collagen production. After all, stretch marks are nothing more than damaged collagen. So, it stands to reason that a good stretch mark removal cream must replace damaged collagen.

After three months of using the product, I am happy to report that the stretch mark removal cream I ordered really does work. The once raised pink and red marks have flatten-out and their color has faded appreciably.

If you suffer from the same symptoms as I had, I recommend giving the Dermology stretch mark removal cream a try.
