I'm on a low dating budget myself. My boyfriend and I love to play Nintendo together. There are some two player games that are very fun. Double Dragon II is great. You can "watch each other's back" while advancing in levels. Jeopardy is fun if you like learning facts. And of course, there's always Mario Brothers if you can handle waiting for your girl to finish her turn. You can also find many two player games for Playstation, Wii, and XBox. We actually have been without cable television for months now and are not at each other's throat. Another great activity is reading to each other. We have been reading the book 1984 by George Orwell because it is one of my favorite books and he has never read it. We cuddle up on the couch and take turns reading for a little while. Sometimes, since we love to eat, we create fun, new recipes or variations of our favorite recipes. It's always nice to take a walk hand-in-hand or go out at night and watch the stars. Write notes to each other, draw pictures with each other, play cards, teach each other new games, or find local attractions to visit. If you really care about a person, it doesn't matter what you have or what you do...as long as it's together. Have fun surprising her!
