So this past Sunday morning, after spending a great weekend with my fiance, we decided to have breakfast at this restaurant in Lewisville, TX called Ham & Eggs. The food is absolutely amazing!! But why on earth was the biscuit that I ordered the same size as the saucer it was on??! I am aware that Texas is one of largest states in the U.S., I am also aware of the phrase "EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN TEXAS". But does everything have to live up to the name?!?

According to research done in 2007 regarding the food intake and eating habits of people living in Texas, over half of the adults in Texas were considered obese or overweight and about half of high school students were considered to be overweight or obese. Hmmm, do you think this is may have something to do with all the giagantic food we eat???  Perhaps we as a state should monitor our calorie intake a little more and not focus so much of the thought of "bigger being better" when it comes to food.  Although with the economy being as tough as it is right now, it's understandable why bigger seems better...
