Dog barking sounds what are they you might be asking! Well a dog barking sound is how a dog will communicate with you about there needs.  I know that many people only think that the sound a dog will make is barking or whining, but each one of these types of barks and whines has a different meaning. I know that only one of my dogs really does any more than one sound and that is my Labrador Retriever, but each one of his dog barking sounds is unique in its own way. Here are three of the common dog barking sounds that he makes on an almost daily basis and what each one of the sounds means for him.

The first dog barking sound that he makes is the normal everyday bark. Now with his normal everyday dog barking sound it is because he is normally happy to see me or a friend that is coming over. I know that this dog barking sound is not meant to be mean, but is because he is excited about what is going on around him in his environment. So the everyday dog barking sound that he makes is a good one that I do not mind hearing because I know that it is a greeting for me or whomever is coming over.

The second dog barking sound that he makes is his high pitched whine. This is what he normally does when he is very happy and excited. Even though he is a male this dog barking sound makes it sound like he has hit puberty. Which really makes me laugh each time that he does this dog barking sound. I know that this can be annoying though because with this dog barking sound he can get to the point of being so high pitched that he hurts your ears! Still though I know that he is doing this dog barking sound because he is happy to see me home from wherever I went to.

Now the third dog barking sound that my dog makes is one that I know he does only when some stranger or new person is on the property. That dog barking sound is his bark with a growl incorporated. When my dog starts making this sound I know that something is not right around the house or inside of the house. So when I hear this dog barking sounds I know that I need to get up and check to see what he is making his noise at to ensure that someone is not trying to break into the house or steal something out of my sheds.

While many people will want to know what each one of the dog barking sounds mean this is the three common dog barking sounds that my dog makes. I know that for some people they might not even think that these dog barking sounds are worth considering because they are so common, but you have to remember that any dog barking sound will be one that your dog uses to communicate with you so you will want to try to learn what each one of your dog barking sounds means so you can basically chat with your dog.
