Inexpensive dogs enjoy all types of toys and game-playing with them. They even like when other dogs, people, cats and / or any others join in, too. Here are some popular types of toys that rank tops on dog charts and games to play with them.

 Games of Catch and Pass

Frisbees rank high up there, especially for outdoor play. Those old fashioned hard plastic disks are not great for dogs’ mouths, though, so look for firmer alternatives, like ones made of rope today in pet stores, found among balls and fetch toys most often.

Game-playing with these can be one-on-one, where you too, they catch or retrieve the item and bring it back to you. You can also play teams or add more people or animals into the mix, and try to pass the toy along down the line.

 Tug Toys

Pets also like to tug with you. And some, like rope toys, are excellent for dental care, cleaning teeth while you pull or the dogs chew. You can get them affordable rope and tug toys available in all types of shapes, sizes and price ranges. And many of the items are washable – either with soap and water or in a washing machine, like for some tough rope toys.

 Interactive Toys

Kongs and other types of toys that you fill up with treats are a blast for pets. You can insert some peanut butter or tiny dog treats in them, and let the canines roll them around and paw at them to get the snacks out.

 Toy buying tips:

 1) Shopping safely for pets is a must so that they don’t get hurt, like from swallowing tiny pieces of inner toy mechanisms or even pieces of the toy’s outer skin or materials.

 2) Another thing to look for is that the toy is washable, even machine washable for those made of fabric or rope. Cleaning the toys regularly is a must to help promote good, clean hygiene for teeth and your home and outdoor environment.

 3) When you shop online, you often get details like if the toys are vet approved, which can mean a lot! Look for offline tags that boast this, too.

 Toy Chest Time!

When all is said and done, have a home for your dog toys. And even teach Fido to pick up at the end of the day, like a child, placing each toy in the basket or other toy box you have. You can find chests, baskets and other toy boxes at pet stores and online.
