Dog training books have become very popular among many dog owners for use in training their dogs. However, some people have great reservation as to if they are going to be able to train their dog from a book which is very understandable because the cost of anything these days is high and many people are keeping better track of their spending. Some people though prefer going to a dog training course and each one of these methods does have positives and I thought I would share what I have found to be positive with the dog training books that I have used before.

Using a dog training book versus a normal dog training program does allow you to have some freedom that you might not have in a normal dog training program. I know that depending on how well your dog behaves already will affect how you are going to approach your training program with him. So if your dog is already well behaved and is potty trained you are not going to want to sit through that portion of a dog training course. With the book you will be able to skip through that portion that you already know about so you will not be bored and neither will your dog.

However, using a dog training book though will not give you the education on how to use your voice to better control your dog. Now though with the internet many dog training programs are available and will use videos as well as books to help you train your dog with the education of using your voice. With just using a simple dog training book they try to teach you how to use your voice, but it is kind of hard to read something and figure out what kind of voice inflection that they are trying to teach you to use with your dog because some people will figure a voice type different than someone else so trying to figure out what is the proper voice inflection is important if you are going to train your dog by your voice command only.

While many people will use strictly a dog training book or various programs that you can watch on your television or computer I know that using a dog training program in person has many benefits as well. However, if you are like most of us in these hard economic times you will be turning to the internet to help you train your dog and you will find books to be a possibility as well to help you save your dog training problems.
