A new-fangled dog will be always cute and it is fun to have it, however it is fearful if the dog is not at all trained. This is the main reason, that dog behavior training is one of the most essential steps in the process of dog caring. A properly trained dog is an asset for the family, and a source of joy to the family. You should start training from the first day, when you adopt a dog. The training should not stop till the dog starts understanding the commands. The time spent on training your dog is not at all a waste of time, but its importance will be determined when your dog becomes more understandable to your needs and the needs of the family. A well groomed pet is an asset.

Don't Wait- Start training your dog...Yourself

Whenever you start training your dog, it is advisable for you to follow some basics. First of all, you should ensure that the instruction which you give to your pet should remain the same and should not be changed. Any laxity on this part may result in confusing the dog. Any instruction or command should be clear and the laid down rules, that you want your dog to follow, should not be altered or relaxed in any situation. This means that if you don't want your pet to sleep on your double bed then you should never allow the pet to sit on it as well. You should be very clear about your expectations and what exactly you expect from your dog. You should prepare the rules of the house before you start training the dog. You should always be clam and composed while training your dog and should not get agitated if the progress is slow. If you expect your dog to not do a particular thing, you should convey this not by beating him but in calm but stern manner.

Keep Patience and Do Not Over Train the Dog

Generally, dogs will not be able to concentrate for longer period of time; you should keep short training sessions. Fifteen minutes of dog training session will be enough which will help your dog to behave in a proper manner. If the dog starts obeying the commands which you give him, you should reward him through some encouraging words like "good dog" or a gentle pat. The dog should come to know by your gesture, voice, and actions that you are happy with his behavior. If you follow this, then your dog will always feel better, and it will also help them to concentrate more on the training process. One of the most important factors which you should always keep in mind, while imparting training is that you should be patient and persistent with your dog.
