DESCRIPTION

The Belgian Malinois is a medium sized breed, muscular and square in proportion. They have a coarse short undercoat overlying a thich undercoat. Colors can include fawn, red, mahogany, and grey. These colors will have a addition of a black mask and ears, and some black tipping of the hair. Some have white markings on the chest, usually the fawn colored dogs will have this.

TEMPERAMENT

The Malinois is a courageous, alert and loyal breed. Often used for police work, but can make a good family companion and watchdog as well. Socialization must be started at an early age, with people and animals. They require an experienced and firm trainer. With proper socialization they are generally fine around children and other animals. They love to work and will thrive on your companionship.

  • hip dysplasia
  • skin and eye disorders.
