Dogs and fleas!!!
64My crew!!!
I tried it all and nothing was working.
First to rid your pet of fleas the beginning is the source in my case it was the yard of the house I had just bought. My babies had never had fleas and were being driven crazy when we came here. So, I bought all the chemicals and treated the property, only to have them come back with fleas every time they went outside. Uggghhh!!!! I bought contractor grade treatment and nothing. I treated the house and regularly (like every other day) washed area rugs, blankets, sheets and anything I could toss in my machine. Nothing worked. I had to turn my attention to the dogs and giving them comfort even if I could not rid the source of the fleas.
I tried every dog flea product I came across: advantix, flea shampoos, collars, sprays, powders, etc. Ohhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! It was driving me and them crazy. Not to mention the wear and tear on me being disabled, leaning over tubs and sinks all for naught.
Then I decided to do my own thing which had my dogs running from me for a while. They never new what I was going to put on them, lol. It worked for a moment but no long term effects. Oh, what did I try? Medicated alcohol mixed with white alcohol rub downs, medicated lotion, creams, etc. I would try it if I thought it would help and not hurt my dogs. Nothing worked.
Until I found Adams medicated flea treatment and had the great idea to solve my back pain and the fleas in one move. Yesssssss!!!!! this has done it. What I did was to get an empty (had plenty of them) flea shampoo container put maybe half an ounce of Adams and added about the same of oatmeal flea shampoo (so not to dry their skin) and the rest was warm water. Put a towel on a table that was at a comfortable height for me and one at a time scrubbed the personal dry bath on them. Of course they got wet but not nearly like a tub and the first time I got hundreds of fleas off when I combed them, disgusting. That is each little guy. Next time, there was only about 5-6 each and you should have seen how peacefully they slept. For the first time in forever they were not and are not being driven crazy.
I repeated this for a few days and I don't dry them so they are rubbing the mix into the stair carpet without getting the stairs wet. That is there favorite place to lay. One on each step. I also spray everything after vacuuming with Lysol disinfectant, through trials I learned it kills fleas as well. Now I daily spray there area rugs and steps as well as pillows. With regular washing of all items and there dry bath mix I make them, all is peaceful and they are no longer being driven crazy. Which means I am not either. Yeahhhhhhh!!!!
I do hope you are not facing these problems but if so give it a try. Take care dears. Much love to ya!!!
