60A Brief Introduction To The Herd
This is my herd. My family, my kids, and of course my husband in the middle. For the most part they all get along, for the most part. We have a family amongst the yorkies, father, son and daughter. Father and son sometimes disagree or try to prove there alphamaleness. But we are a happy bunch.
Bizzy- The Dad Of The House
Bizzy is really something special, for sure. He is going on his 10th year of life. He's a little slower, can't jump on the couch anymore without 100 tries beforehand, or a little assistance, and he's started turning white around the edges. But he is still my puppy. I got him from a breeder after a tragic accident with one of my first Yorkies, Chewy. I was doing laundry and Chewy was following me around, as always, I turned to him and said "Are you following momma again?", at that precise moment, the laundry door fell of it's hinges and landed right on top of him. Chewy went quick and painlessly but, like I said, quite TRAGICALLY. So my husband and I are sitting at the breeders and she's showing us all these little cute fur balls, teacups and such, they were all cute certainthey were all cute certainly, but not a one of them really caught my attention, , until Bizzy bust out of his cage and came racing over to me, jumped in my lap and looked in my eyes. He was about 6 months old at the time. That did not deter me one bit, his personality was busting at the seems, just as Chewy's was before him. I fell in love. He used to be my little boy, now he's my old man. I am happy we got to breed him. Shaun's mother has the mother of the children and we take them to visit "mom" from time to time.
Along Came Snoop Dogg
Snoop, Snoop, Snoop, he is by far the most "hyper" in the house and he has some "territorial" issues with his father. But he is a complete love bug when he wants to be. He was born December 11, 2001, I was there helping his mom give birth, I saw the whole miracle of him from the start. That makes him a whooping 8 years old. How time flys when you're having fun. I remember him as just a fluff ball trying desperately to get up the stairs of our townhouse. Such a cute memory. He is probably the closest Yorkie we have to being "show-dog" material, for about 20 minutes after his bath and grooming, after that he's a mess. I keep him shaved nowadays. He is in love with our boxer, Axes, and tries desperately to make babies with her, with no success. Ax is a wee bit too big for him, of course, that doesn't stop him from trying till we think he's gonna kick the bucket right on the spot. Maybe one day he will succeed and we'll have a wierd looking group of puppies to tend to. He is the only one of the Yorkies not fixed. We wanted to breed him but haven't found a female suitable to him. His heart belongs to Axes anyways.
And Then There Was Prissy
Prissy, the self proclaimed queen of the household. She is Snoops sibling. She was the smallest of the bunch and yet somehow, she wound up being the biggest. But that doesn't stop her from grabbing you by the heart and squeezing. We didn't have her for the first year od so of her life, she belonged to a friend who just couldn't manage her personality. She barks for attention, a lot, she loves feet, always underfoot, doesn't matter who's and she could very well eat you out of house and home if not carefully watched. We decided to keep the family together and brought her to join our heard, which at the time was just Bizzy and Snoop, and my cats. It was like they never missed a day away from each other. She is the biggest personality in the house. She loves to ride in the car, with her head hanging out the window and she's actually a very good rider. She gets to go more places with me because of that. Special treatment? Probably. She's also, almost as dumb as a rock. I know that sounds mean but we didn't have her for the important year of her life, where training is easier. She has recently discovered what a toy is and how to play with it, and also how to sit. Although she is very obedient on our evening walks. Even with her imperfections, I am certainly happy she's part of our family now.

Axes Rose
Who says animals can't adopt people? She showed up at our door one day and has been here ever sense. Yes, I know she is 10 times bigger than my other dogs but she thinks she's that size too. Being a big dog, we wanted to give her a tough name, like Axel Rose, but well, she's a girl and so she became Axes Rose. Ax is about 2 years old and tons of fun, she loves to jump and she loves her dogs. It's only at eating time that I am a little wary, there have been a few scuffles over the food in the past. But for the most part, she is the best dog one could hope for. Loving, gentle, kind, relaxed. She's all those things and more. She loves chasing cats, not her cats (I know that sounds weird) but the cats outside. It's such a fun game to her. it's not such a fun game for me though, as every take off from her results in a gigantic jerk of my arm. She's pretty good on the leash, and when I tell her to leave "that cat alone" she does. She has also adopted the kitten (see my CatsAreSomethingSpecial page for more). It's the cutest thing. I'm glad she decided to adopt us.

It's Such A Happy Home
I am glad to say that all my creatures get along. If they didn't I would be devastated. Animals bring me joy and I certainly have a joyful bunch.
They can pretend....
I know my dogs and my cats all get along, even if there's a fun chase scene in the house every now and again. I also happen to know that my dogs, especially Bizzy and Snoop, love each other as well, or whatever kindy emotion dogs feel. There's no fooling me. I've seen them in action.
