Doing a Complete Detoxification Cleanse, My Journey
69This hub finds me in the middle of a complete detox cleanse. This cleanse is for the liver and colon. This is hard core. (my step-daughter's favorite saying) I have to tell you, it has not been easy. I really miss my coffee!
I'm now into my fourth day and I really want to do this for two weeks, so 10 more days. I feel great, except for occasional hunger. The first two days were rough. No coffee, not much of anything. This is a very limited cleanse in the way of what I can eat. But, it's only 2 weeks and I'm a pretty determined person, so I'm in it for the long haul. When I get a hunger pang, I drink a big glass of filtered water. That helps, drinking lots of water. It really should be filtered water, not bottled.
I use and recommend the Plus One water filtration system. You can find that by going to my web store. It can be found on the home page by clicking on the "Home and Garden" link, then on "Home Appliances". Look for "Pure H20 Counter top Water Filtration System".
Anyway, so what's the point of doing this cleanse? Well, I believe that the inside of my body is just as important as the outside when it comes to cleaning it. Here I am, 42 years old and I have showered, washed, brushed, etc the outside of me, I have no idea how many times. OK, so, if I spend so much time cleaning the outside, what about the inside? Doesn't that deserve to get a good cleaning once in a while. I think it is not only a good idea, I think it is imperative for the future health of my body.
I believe that years of consuming whatever I want, within reason, I am careful, will eventually result in toxic buildup in my colon and small intestines. I believe that by doing a cleanse once in a while, I can clean out all that built up junk and prevent it from becoming toxic and leaking those poisons back into my body causing all manner of health challenges.
Whoever said that we should expect to have health related problems as we age? Why should we expect this? I say, no. I don't see why we can't age, not only gracefully, but healthy.
If you are interested in doing this cleanse, contact me for a complete guide to doing this particular one. It's a free guide.
If you want to learn more about the product and/or purchase it you can also go, again, to my web store and click on the "Health and Nutrition" store on the home page. Then click on the "Digestive Health" store. Scroll down until you find "The NutriClean Seven Day Cleansing System". You will need two for this total detox cleanse. One if you just want a maintenance cleanse, usually done twice a year. The total detox cleanse is something I do about every 5 years, because I maintain in between.
OK, so let me tell you how this is going for me. I started on Monday and it is now Thursday evening, so 4 days. This is a 14 day cleanse.
Before Breakfast I start with the morning part of my "NutriClean". Then I go exercise. For me that is usually a walk and a bit of strength training. When I get home from my walk, I have breakfast. This consists of an herbal tea with honey and a fruit salad. Around midmorning I have an apple.
Lunch is a salad with extra virgin olive oil and vinegar. I also put on it some tuna fish. From a small can I use 1/2 of it.
All during the morning I'm drinking water, sometimes flavored with aloe juice. I use a nice apple/kiwi flavored one. This also assists with the cleanse as well as tasting good. Lots more water all afternoon. Oops, hold on, I need another glass......be right back.
OK, where was I? Oh, dinner.
For dinner, I have another salad with a small piece of grilled chicken. Yesterday I had fish, grilled.
After dinner I have a cup of hot water and juice. I fill the cup 2/3 with water, heat it and fill it the rest of the way with juice, only 100% juice, no juice drinks, which are loaded with extra sugar.
Well, there you have it. Day 4 on my 14 day cleanse. I'll check back in here in a couple of days, let you know how I'm doing. Wish me luck. The weekend is harder. I have two dinner invitations. I hope they have something I can eat. Maybe I should bring my own salad, just in case. Until next time.
The Cleanse Continues
Well here I am again. Today is day 7. So far so good. I did have a bit of a slip-up on Friday evening. My husband brought home a 6 pack of beer and I had a couple. This really isn't part of the cleanse, but I don't think it's too terrible. There's barley and hops in it, right?
OK, OK, it wasn't the best thing to do, but, it won't happen again, promise. After all, I'm half way there!!!
It's really not all that hard any more. I feel great and most of the time I'm not hungry. Maybe my stomach has shrunk. It doesn't require as much to fill it now. That's cool. I can cut down on my grocery bill. :-)
Well.....onward I go. I'll check back with you in another day or two. Until then, have a great day and consider a cleanse for yourself. Your body will thank you in the way of many, many healthy years.
OK, I'm back. It's now day 11 and I find that the hardest part is my energy level is down. I am usually the one up early and busy, busy all day. I work out, I work all day, I work on my marketing online for an hour or two every evening. Then I'm tired, but now I'm dragging after working all day. I'm tired at 8 pm. But if that is my only issue, I could probably use the rest anyway and I'm almost done, so not bad for two weeks of cleansing.
Today I had tuna in my salad at lunch and no meat for dinner. It's now almost 9 pm and I'm hungry. I'll have a glass of water or maybe a tea and off to bed. I'm not hungry when I'm sleeping. :-)
Until next time.

I'm beginning to feel that. The first couple of days were a bit rough, but if you can push through that, it really does get better. I'm on day 5 right now and I'm having a bit of trouble sleeping because I'm just not tired at my usual bedtime. I'm full of energy. Maybe I should stay on the eating pattern even when I'm through this 14 day cleanse. We'll see. Thanks for the comment.

Well written, I must give this a try soon as I reckon what with alcohol and rich foods I must be due for a detox myself. :)
Michelle,
Now this is a subject that Barbie understands completely. Not me, I don’t give up my coffee!
I am kidding of course. I believe in what you are doing. It only makes sense to think of the inside of our bodies. How many people die from an outside job as opposed to an inside job?
Keep up the good work Michelle and I’ll soon get to drive that Corvette of yours. ~ eddie
Thanks guys.
