The Importance Of An Audit On Your Website

An audit is nothing new for anything whether it is a real business or an online business, audits have to be made to see what is working and what is not.

When you implement changes you need to measure the results constantly, ways of doing this could include:

  • Writing down all of the main points of your web pages when you first write them, then when you come back to do your first ever audit you will see what has to be changed for the better.
  • Some kind of tracking software could track changes for you to see where changes were made and act upon them, google analytics, crazy egg and many more are available online.
  • Go through your existing web copy and write down all the things you hoped to achieve first off, then see if your web site achieves that.
  • Get feedback from your website visitors, they know what they want so ask them for their views, they are after all your customer base.

There are other reasons you may wish to start an audit of your website, but remember that the changes you make are for the positive impact of a better website.

This is a very concise and helpful article! It's so important to keep your content fresh and to monitor how it's doing--- otherwise, you aren't converting as well as you should!

I llooked up crazy eggs and several others like it.

Track Every Click with Crazy Egg’s “Confetti”

Do you really find answers with this kind of data?

The real problem is you are not getting traffic, there are little if any clicks.

What is your take?

Asking for feedback - Provides you with future content

Adding a poll to your site, a voting form to see what your visitors would like to read or hear about from you is a good way of generating quality reader based feedback and keeping your web visitors happy and subscribed to your content for the long term.

But did you know that when you gain the valuable feedback of your fans, readers and website vitiors you gain some good content to reformat into more future content of your own.
