Domain Parking At A Glance

Domain parking is where you sign up with a service, so they will put content and or ads in your domain and you can get revenue when someone click on the ads in your domains.

Of course you will share the revenue with the domain parking company. The revenue share is vary from one company to another.

Beside used for unused domain names, many people has been in the industry just to benefit from them. What I mean is they buy domain names just because they want to get money from parking those domains.

There are some tips and tricks in choosing domain names just to benefit from the parking industry. Do you know that AffiliateMarketing.com is parked? Do you know how many people really type in AffiliateMarketing.com in their browser when they want to learn more about affiliate marketing?

There are several things you need to consider when choosing a parking company. Some of which are: their payment cycle, how they will pay you, how many domains you need to join them, what are their revenue share, who are their primary source of ppc advertising.

For the last one, source of ppc advertising, it has been known that parking company that use Yahoo feed gives higher pay per click.

The Two Domain Parking Companies I Recommend

The two companies that I recommend is Name Drive and Parked. I suggest to use Name Drive as you can get accepted right away with only 1 domain name. As for parked, they give the best pay out for now, not to mention the best customer services in many domainer forums. But you need at least 10 domain names to join Parked. Both of them are free to join.

Name drive feed came from Google, while Parked use Yahoo feed as their primary feed, and their secondary feed comes from Google and Ask.

As for the layout of the parked domains, I like Parked better since there is a feature where you can add your own content, and yes you can put your affiliate links in it too.

Name Drive has a feature to set whether a domain is a 1 click or 2 click domains. Parked don't have this feature. Yahoo as their primary feeder decide which domai name will get a 1 click domains.

(Note: 1 click domain means when you open a domain name in a browser you will see the ads while in 2 click domains you will need to click a link / category to see the ads)

Here's a tip if you decide to join parked. After you fill out the application form, submit a ticket to their support and ask for a manual review. You will get a better chance getting in to Parked if they review your application manually.

There is another parking company, Sedo, that I've been using too, but I don't really like it because I don't like their templates. The reason I'm still using it is because some of my domain DO perform better at Sedo. I guess good layout doesn't alwas mean good money huh?

Sedo is using Google as their ad provider, free to join with a minimum of 1 domain name.

Costs, pay out, how easy are they to use? Just putting up your referral links doesn't convince me of joining one of them ;-( SY

Well, it's 7.30 in the morning and I haven't sleep yet, so very sorry for not being so clear.. :D

They cost nothing, free to join, but for parked, you will need at least 10 domain names.

Parked pays twice a month, never late, as for ND, I just joined them last week and haven't got any payment from them, but I believe they also pay twice a month.

They are very easy to use, just point your domain to their name server, pick a keyword, pick a layout, and your done..
