60I received this email today. After pondering for a while. I decided to publish it here and get your opinion. Reading this how does it make you feel? Do you agree or do you think it is once again a racist related attack, or justification.
Proud To Be White
How many are actually paying attention to this?
There are African Americans,
Mexican Americans,
Asian Americans,
Arab Americans,
Native Americans, etc.
And then there are just - Americans.
You pass me on the street
and sneer in my direction.
You Call me "White boy,"
"Cracker," "Honkey,"
"Whitey," "Caveman,"
...And that's OK.
But when I call you Nigger,
Kike, Towel head,
Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey,
Beaner, Gook, or Chink,
...You call me a racist.
You say that whites commit a lot
of violence against you,
so why are the ghettos the most
dangerous places to live?
You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Hispanic History Month.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Asian History Month.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.
You have Yom Hashoah.
You have Kawanza.
You have the NAACP.
And you have BET.
If we had WET
(White Entertainment Television)
...We'd be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day
...You would call us racists.
If we had White History Month
...We'd be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites
to "advance" OUR lives,
...We'd be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
a Black Chamber of Commerce,
and then we just have the plain
Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that?
If we had a college fund that only gave
white students scholarships
...You know we'd be racists.
There are over 60 openly-proclaimed
Black-only Colleges in the US,
yet if there were "White-only Colleges"
...THAT would be a racist college.
In the Million-Man March,
you believed that you were
marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights,
...You would call us racists.
You are proud to be black,
brown, yellow and red,
and you're not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride
...You call us racists.!
You rob us,
carjack us,
and shoot at us.
But, when a white police officer
shoots a black gang member
or beats up a black drug-dealer
who is running from the LAW and
posing a threat to ALL of society
...You call him a racist.
I am proud.
...But, you call me a racist.
Why is it that only
whites
can be racists?

What is worst than a racist?
Ignorant individuals who have nothing to contribute at all. Yet racisist are some of the most ignorant people around. It is not about melinin content of your skin that makes a person proud. I think black people are more aware of racism because the history is just beginning to be told by black people. His Story from the perspective of whites does not give respect to what happened for real to the lives and families of africans and the so called negro or nigger that was created by stringing a man up on a noose with arms and legs to two horses, then fire used to make the horses run in opposite directions to tear the nigger in two in front of another man pregnant woman and child. That was just the beginning of what was done to a man because of the dominant melinin in his skin. That was racist, because it did not happen to the worst white man. Only black men were torn literally in two parts. (Read the Willie Lynch letter for your self for those who doubt that was possible in USA) There is so much people do not know about the abuse by the hands of oppressive, in some cases racist people who did evil to men and women even whites. Ignorant people accept racism as a shield to protect them from places/people who they rather not know.
Annie, this is a good one....well, they all have been. I agree with the writer. In the USA we have a quota system....you must hire minorities whether they are skilled for the position or not....There is no need to have special groups. The only special groups I advocate colleges for the deaf and blind...special collleges for blacks and others does not make sense as they are not excluded. It is a form of seperation that minorities say they are against. We need to make a decision...are we united or are we seperated?...and then be done with it. By the way there were some white slaves....
A big thank you for all your comments. My take on this is why can't we just look beyond color and see ourselves as people. It is most probably too naive of me considering the history and the present state of affairs world wide !
To avoid racism everyone should consider equal. Having polarized organizations like this won't heal racism, it will promote even more. There are plenty of religions only schools here, it is really absurd, how can they call education when all they are teaching is ignorance of others.
They yell over and over about being hung but now they knife and shoot and drug each other.When they mature enough to realize that what they do to each other is worse than what a white man ever did maybe they will see it was not the whites that are cruel it is them.
To quantify the word "Racism" you must look beyond the drivel in the dictionary.
Racism-tribalism-catholics-protestants-American-South African-me-you-us-them Sky-News vs BBC-News or whatever is BASED on differerences in culture, in morals ,in living standards,ideas etc and quite rightly so.
Those who point out that racism(please let anyone give me a definition) is wrong is a bigot or a stone deaf orator.
I rather deal with a "racist"?????? than with a bigot.
I am Dutch(from Holland and living in SA)and do not like a Brit or an Arab or a Chinese or a Mexican or whatevr is not to my liking.
I love the Boer/Afrikaner not for his/her intelligence but for the color and the integrity(which thewy slowly seem to give up) of a Volk that has withstood the best of the world.Most of the balcks in South Africa treat them as racist????
Then I ask you why 18000/20000 Zulu/Xhosa killed each other in a time span of 10 years.??????

I like this Hub.because when you read between the lines it is not what was said,but what was not said. The Boers have NEVER EVER eradicated the African
examples:American Settlers vs Native Americans . Brits vs India. etc.

I was born in Indonesia, so have chinese features but was brought up in Australia. I now live in Holland and although am very happy overall with the people am utterly disappointed at the darker races here. Of all people I have received countless attacks regarding my race just walking up the street. I really don't understand this and have no answers. In fact it just happened today. 3 young school boys of africab descent walker passed me. I'm a young mother. They found it hilarious to mock me. What could I do. Be the bigger person, the adult. Well I'm sick to my back teeth with this. Australia had had it's share of racial attacks against the chinese. But I did not expect it here. The uncanny thing about it all is that it's not the anglo-saxon nederlanders but from people of african descent. I'm sorry but talk about double standards. It really stinks! Sorry just had to vent.....
when we flew in a chopper(helicopter) in Vietnam,we sat on our helmets so we didn't get shot in the ass....same thing with racism no matter what side,you know it comes from ignorance under you,....so,always sit on your helmet...peace...

The country the United States of America was founded in sight of the Lord. The frontiers men knew God. They knew what they where doing was wrong. Yes there was slavery in the Bible but, weren't these people tricked, kidnapped and treated worst than animals. Never would he justify such cruelity. Yes it was the over 100 years ago, but we must not forget of the punishments we receive from our fathers faults. When you repent for the cruelity you also are dishing, you will see that all this doesn't really matter. You must not hate them because of their blessings. Then you'll miss yours.
There is a problem in this country. Poor black men say "It's the white man keeping us down." Then, poor white men say, "If they weren't helping them so much we would have.". Yes there are racist rich folk, but their hatered doesn't fume like this. You try to blame everybody else for the reason your in your position. When you starting loving God and except Jesus as your savior, then your hate will dissipate and your blessing will flow.
