Click frauds are causing many webmasters to terminate their Google Adsense account. But they want to get it back because of the money it generates. This is the same reason why click frauds are taking place.

Click fraud means clicking on ads with the mere intention of making the advertiser pay. Many web owners are aware of this problem.

Eliminating Click Fraud

You must share the access logs offered by web hosts with Google. This will enable them to monitor your site for any suspicious activities. Also try getting a click monitoring software.

Transfer all the relevant information to Google. Report any suspicious activity detected from your server logs. You can disable ads for your IP address and local geographic area using htaccess file. This will avoid Google suspecting another user as you clicking on your own ads.

Adsense should be kept off on pop ups and pop unders. Do not display ads on sites promoting illegal activities, gambling, and adult contents. Remove your ads from any such sites.

You must report to Google if you have clicked on your ads. It is always better to confess if you have by any chance violated their Terms of Service rather than Google finding it out on a later stage and terminating you.

Preventing Click Fraud

If your friends or family happen to know about Adsense they might deliberately start clicking on your ads. You must prevent such incidents.

Various measures are taken by pay-per-click networks to protect website owners from click frauds. There are search engines which track more than 50 data points, IP address, browser's information, user's session info and pattern recognition. Specialized teams and systems are available for helping the advertisers detect such frauds.

Also suggestions are offered by Google to avoid click frauds. Using "negative keywords", tracking URL to your site are some of the techniques.

Do not fall pray for click frauds. Be prepared to tackle them.
