Twitter Spam

What is Twitter? How to Twitter? Few Internet users are asking these two questions as the social networking site has made its presence known online. Twitter is similar to FaceBook and MySpace in that it is a social networking site where  users  "tweet" and then to follow people they find interesting. How to Twitter? Simply log onto the Twitter.com and join as a member using 140 characters or less to communicate online.

Twitter spamming has become a subject internet users are concerned with. The trouble with Twitter is not only the process of monetizing but also Twitter spamming. Twitter spamming is increasing because of the unprecedented popularity of the social networking site. Because of the tremendous number of members, Twitter spammers are on the rise. No one wants  a Twitter spam follower and would rather follow a friend, however NetWork World made a Twitter spam report. According to the internet publication, Twitter users are being tricked into providing their log in and password details to a website and then being spammed.

The website is called TwitterCut. All twitter users should be on the look out for this twitter spam that is not from the official Twitter website. If you receive a message or follower with the moniker TwitterCut, do not give the requester your log in information or your contacts. TwitterCut has the software that is not the official Twitter spam software, that can go into your email and spam all of your contacts once this information is revealed.

Twitter users have began getting these messages from TwitterCut that is not associated with the official Twitter website. Do not click on any link that reads TwitterCut, it is considered Twitter spam.

The message from the Twitter spammer TwitterCut contains a message that you will gain more contacts by following the link. Twitters are advise not to follow any links with that suggestion from Twitter spam, TwitterCut.

The NetWork World publication reports that the TwitterCut login looks similar to the Official Twitter log in website. Once  you enter your Twitter login information which you are advised not to do with TwitterCut, a message is sent via Twitter to all of victim's contacts.

TwitterCut Twitter spam emails and the Twitter spam filter has not been able to capture the culprit. Do not enter your log in details on TwitterCut. I find twitter to be a poorly put together social website. I had problems creating an account and i have already received nothing but spammer friends.

I don't think I will be a tweeter.

Heck, i barely use my myspace anymore and never finished setting up my facebook.

Hawesdream, thank you for your comment. You would think that the software would have made national news because Twitter is so popular. I am pleased if Hubpage writers are careful about dealing with spam.
