This is the guy we re-elected (or the Supreme Court chose.) If John McCain gets elected, Dottie 1, you'll have the makings of an even better sequel on his flubs.
Yes, this is funny but also very sad. This hub could also be named The great misadventures of our electoral college since if it wasn't for them, the popular vote would have elected Kerry in 2004.

ouch. I'm one of the those rare Americans who try to support the president despite how much I may disagree with their policies, but it's gotten to the point where I can't even watch him talk any more. I just cringe with embarassment. You'd think that after two terms Bush would have some serious public speaking skills...but, no, that's just not the case.
I think Bush beat Kerry in popular vote. He didn't however beat Gore. Electoral college, for all its fauts, is the last straw standing in our republic. Other than that we could be considered an all-out democracy...of which I am not a fan of (nor am I of a republik, either).
T. Keeley was right because Bush won the popular vote by 3%. So even if it wasn't for the electoral college, we still would have suffered 4 more years of Bush.
Correction, Talent (a good one): if Bush hadn't won in the first place, it's a good bet we would never have experienced him at all!
Bush lost in 2000, and there were a few questionable vote counts (e.g., Ohio) in 2004. So the word "elected" might just not apply here.
Which doesn't help much with the embarrassment thing, let alone the democracy thing.

This hub has sparked some interesting comments our president. Personally, I don't resent him in any way, but I strongly disagree with his policies and flip-flop behavior. I don't think I've ever been so excited about the presidential election. Why? I know the result will be Bush out of office because he's termed out.Woohooo! Now my only problem is who to vote for. Ce La Vie.

Just so you know, I hve no problem pronouncing the word nucular. Uncular? Knucklewar? Well, you know what I mean. As far as the drinking issue, I once drank my weight in Billy Beer. That was a loooong night. It's been nothing but iced tea, ever since. They may be of the Long Island variety, but that counts, right?

I can be succinct when I need to be, lol. And no, not scared of him. Frustrated maybe. He's not half as bad as he gets charged with being in most of the stuff he gets called out on, and he's twice as bad on the rest. But, he's like religion, can't really go into it or people start writing novels, mostly against. No sense stirring it up now, he's out of here in four months or so.
