Don't Talk To Me About Freedom Of Speech!
65Freedom of Speech card doesn't work when rude!
If you have something to say then be my guest at say it. If you wish to write a comment on my hubs then please do so, I love reading what others have to say on a topic I have written about. But don't be rude!
Don't try flipping out the Freedom of Speech card on me if you write something that is totally inappropriate and you have obviously not done any research on the topic of my hub. I won't stand my it and your comment WILL get deleted. And anytime you write on my hub or hubs, the comments WILL be deleted. I stopped allowing people to be rude to me ever since I got into high school, so this is no different. You want to be rude then take it somewhere else because this girl ain't buying it, nor will she take your damn Freedom of Speech card.
I've already had to deal with a man being rude on my volunteering hub, him saying that I should be ashamed of myself for working at Cats In Need when it's in Pet Smart and Pet Smart should hire people for that. Obviously he didn't know what the hell he was talking about. I wrote the hub, I'm the one volunteering there, so yea I have every right to be volunteering there in my free UNEMPLYED time. And once again Cats In Need is a NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION JUST USING THE SPACE! Pet Smart can't hire anyone to work there, only volunteers can work there and they have to talk to those in charge of Cats in Need. Pet Smart is not allowed to adopt out ANY of the cats, only those in charge of that section for Cats In Need. Pet Smart cannot allow anyone in the room unless they are accompanied by volunteers of those in charge of Cats In Need. I do think I know what I'm talking about and posting here. DUH!
So please again if you want to make a comment, do the research before making a stupid comment. Those writing the hubs know what they are talking about, that is why they are writing a hub. And if you are going to make a rude comment on a hub that someone else is passionate about, here's some advice my mom told me "Bite your tongue!" And don't go trying that Freedom of Speech crap on me. Yes you have it but you also don't have the right to be rude! There is enough of that in the world as it is!

That's a shame that people still find the need to try and chew others out, especially here. You would think we all had a common goal.
Serves them a lesson, i had a similar case with a rude comment in one of my hub. I guess we put in a lot of time for making a hub and when some nasty comment comes our way it just is uncalled for. I just love that we have the final power to approve any comment. As a writer you obviously know how to differentiate a nasty remark and a honest comment.
Way to go Crazd. I delete comments with curses, but try to be objective even when we don't agree. I totally agree about the rudeness factor. Someone can offer an alternative idea or their opinion without being rude. It isn't necessary. Thanks.

99.9% of people don't seem to get the "freedom of speech" concept. They have no clue that their right to free speech extends only to freedom from government interference.
We all have the freedom to tell each other to shut up and sit down.
Or delete hub comments that rub us the wrong way. :)
Good hub. Given all the clutter on the Net (and on Hubpages) we all should use the delete button more often.
Thank you for this hub, Crazdwriter! Some people feel it is their duty, or mission in life to get personal or just say anything whether rude or not. I also wrote a hub about this called You Can See Anything With A Mask On Your Face.
Just found your hub, and I completely agree with you on this! I just had to delete my first disrespectful comment from one of my hubs. The commenter mentioned in a hub written after that I was censoring them. After allowing two other comments from them with an opposing view, I deleted one that was rude, and they get offended! LOL! People get really mad when they can't force you to agree with their opinions, and you just have to laugh when they resort to grade-school playground tactics.

YOU GO GIRL! When I first started on hubpages, I had a few comments from ppl whose launguae I couldn't even understand. It IS your right to write about anything on your mind. Thank goodness that comments can be denied before even being displayed.
