Don’t Try To Be Perfect Just Be You

Do you find yourself making commitments or doing things you don’t really want to do, just to please other people? This is a vicious cycle that is difficult to break. If you aren’t careful, you will end up repeating it time and again.

Be true to yourself

The most important thing you could ever do is stay true to who you are. Pretending to be something you aren’t is never a good thing. Ask yourself questions like:

  • What do I enjoy most?
  • Where would I like to go?
  • What would I like to do?
  • Who would I like to spend more time with?

Perfection is an illusion

Remember that nobody and nothing in this life is perfect, no matter how much so it might seem. Perfection is an illusion and those who chase the dream of perfection find that out too late in life. Don’t waste precious time or energy trying to find perfection. Instead, spend your time working towards being the best person you can be...just as you are.

There is nobody else quite like you

The best part of being you is that there is nobody else like you. You are unique. You are special. From the way you talk to the way you live your life on a daily basis, you are one of a kind. Why try being like others? In a world full of cookie-cutter models and mindless zombies, why not just be who you are and enjoy your life just the way it is.

There is no such thing as a perfect person. And no matter how hard you might work at being the perfect person to family or friends, you will never please every person in your life all the time, just by doing what you think they want you to do. You have to live your life for yourself.
