BEWARE of Scam sites!!!!!! Don't fall Victim to scam PTR programs. Learn how scam PTRs cheat people around the world

You should definitely read this one..................

PTR(paid-to-read) programs are always a nice way of making money online. They offer stable and consistent payouts, though not extravagent, when compared to other affiliate programs such as PPC(pay-per-click) programs. It's an ideal job for the online affiliate who wants to earn money with the minimum of risks.

Of late, lot of people have chose to enrol into PTR programs. There are lot of companies around the world which offer legitimate PTR programs, however the bad news is that equal number of Scam companies are also on the loose. These companies lure people with extravagent payouts such as $100 or $200 per ad, which is totally impossible. The average payout of legitimate PTR programs ranges from $0.01 to $0.20 per ad, with a payout limit of $10 or $20 based upon the company. Programs offering extravagant payouts and promising to make you a millionaire overnight are utter scams. If you happen to come across these, please ignore them. Don't even bother to click on their website links. I have written hubs on fundamentals of PTR programs and Scam PTRs. If you want, go through them and familiarise yourself with scam PTRs. In this hub, I have described elaborately about how Scam companies cheat people and what are the ways to identify those cheats

How Scam PTRs cheat people?

Unlike legitimate affiliate companies which are registered legally under trademarks, Scam PTRs don't operate under a trademark and they don't have a registered address. All they have is a primary website that is used as a working interface for affiliates to login to their account and click on ads. They will also have links to redeem your payments and send emails to the customer service team for queries. Once you enrol onto these sites, you will be provided a login ID and password similar to all affiliate sites. You need to click on the Ads on a daily basis or whatsoever period provided by the company. Once you reach the payout limit, the screen will pop up a message for you to redeem your payment and a simultaneous message to confirm your redemption request. Their sites will be so realistically designed like a legitimate site, that you can't differentiate which is real and which is not

But the bottomline is- You will NEVER get your payment. Trust me!!

If you are Interested, read on...

How do Scam sites work?

As described above, Scam sites lure people to join their programs. After spending numerous hours of your precious time and energy in clicking Ads for months, with a self-satisfaction that you will get paid, all you get is only disappointment-Sadly!!!

So what does the Scam site ultimately get from us? -

What does the Scam company gonna get if they make me click on ads for months, and then cheat me by not paying anything? Well, this is a very good question. Scam sites basically get revenue by getting affiliates to pay membership fees which becomes their ultimate revenue. Almost all of the Scam enrol affiliates for free; they also offer a paid membership, which provides the benefit of getting paid quicker. Further, the payout limit will be much lower for paid members. If the payout process time for a free member is typically advertised as 30 days, the payout of a paid member will be typically advertised as 7-10 days. However, even if you have acted clever enough and reached your payout limit, the company will make you wait for so longer, that you will ultimately get fed up and sign for a paid membership

The typical membership fee would be somewhere around $15 to $30. Assume how much the company will earn if it gets to sign up 500 members around the world. Very good money, isn't

Even if you have paid the membership fee at the beginning and requested for a payout, the company will not pay out. If you send emails to the customer helpline, they will send lame excuses like they are having backlogs in clearing payment or problems with the systems. If you send reminders, they will reply to the first two or three. Thereafter, they will not care to send a response. At this point, You're scammed

Scam PTR Tactics. Can Paypal or your Credit card help?

Most people who are cheated will try to get their membership fee back through raising a dispute through PAYPAL, as mostly payments would be made through Paypal with credit card. As per policy, Paypal will accept a dispute which is raised by the customer within a specfied period, which is around 45 days. The scam company would be so clever that they would reply to your emails queries regarding payment till this 45-day period gets over. Once this period has passed, they will rest assured that the customer can't claim his/her payment back

The irony here is, even after you have been cheated, the company's systems would be designed such that you will continue to receive automatic Ads on a daily basis. The companies are so clever and manipulating that they make an one-time investment in designing and formulating their systems to cheat innocent people. Also, they will ensure that you do not have a shadow of a doubt, by employing people to read your emails and respond to the queries that you have raised. Once they realize that you have found out the scam, they will never reply to your emails

One of my friend was working for 3 specific PTR sites, one of which is called "Link2communion". He worked dedicatedly for 6 months and reached his payout limit. However, none of the sites paid him. He was so dismayed after spending lot of valuable hours in clicking those ads, but didn't get anything at the end

Stay away from Scam PTRs

Most people get caught in Scam PTRs due to the sheer desire of making extravagent and quick money. Once they get enrolled onto a Scam program offering thousands of dollars within weeks, they feel as if they have stumbled upon a unforseen fortune, that they don't even tell their family or friends. Once they realize the scam, it will be too late

The pathetic thing here is, even people with good knowledge in online affiliate programs become Victims of PTR scams

I hope that you will be well aware about scam PTRs by this time. So, stay away from scam PTR programs- Not only from scam PTR programs, but from any scam online affiiate program.

Be aware. Don't be scammed and defrauded!!!
