A door alarm can alert you to anyone going in or out of your home. Many people have small children, that can wander outside and door alarms can make parents aware of this as soon as it has occurred. The last thing you want to have is a false sense of security. The purpose of an alarm is to help you feel confident that you know when someone goes in or out of the doors or windows of your home. This allows us to keep our families safe, and that confidence will help you sleep a little better at night. Below, we will take a look at several different types of door alarm systems, the prices of each type of alarm and their effectiveness.

GE makes wireless door and window alarms that are a magnetic alarm that emits a sound when the contact is broken, when the door is opened. The alarm continues until the door is shut. This is effective if installed out of reach of children, and has an on/off chime switch for easy control. It is easy to install using double stick tape. This is a great product to install on any windows and doors. It is extremely affordable at $19.99 for a set of two alarms. This product is made by GE, a company that is known for quality products.

The First Alert Alarm is a great product that can help you keep your home secure. It is quick and easy to install on all doors and windows, and when the door or window is opened, it emits an ear piercing alert. This product is easy to use, just peel the backing from the alarm and stick to the door or window. There is absolutely no wiring involved and the First Alert Alarm comes with batteries for each unit. There is also a chime setting, to let you know when someone is coming and going out of the door. The price for this door alarm is $19.99. The next product is a little bit more expensive at $22.00, but it is a keypad wireless door alarm. There is a chime mode, so you know when the door has been opened, and is easy to install. The keypad alarm uses your own four digit personal code, for entry and exit, and the alarm cannot be turned off. A loud 120 db sound is emitted if the code has not been entered within the 45 second delay.
