It is said that none other than the Lich King could've tamed this shadow drake, and the story is probably true. He is a fierce beast from the far-off Outlands, beyond the Dark Portal which the orcs originated from. Viper is a creature born of acid with all of his abilities based on it and the damage it does to enemies over time. His allegiance to the Lich King and scourge cause was tested true in early battles, and the sentinel forces now know of him. Unfortunately, not a single night elf alchemist has found any reliable antidotes that might work against his venemous attacks should this hero face them in the great Defense of the Ancients battles.

Most of his damage is dealt over time with poisons, and his attack power benefits from whittling down someone's health. The Dota Viper character is a popular choice on battlenet. He's an agility hero, which means he has the highest physical DPS potential through base attack speed and is considered a carry.

Viper Strike: The DOTA netherdrake ultimate ability. This slows your enemy, does high damage over time, AND slows their attack speed. It's a huge cripple that should easily win any one versus one fight. Of course, smart players will typically use their escape skill and wait it out. Not many people are fooling enough to fight Viper with his most venemous poison coursing through them.

Corrosive Skin: The body of the nether drake is covered with a light toxin. This infects anyone who might think of attacking him. It reduces movement speed, attack speed, and gives minor damage for a few seconds. The dota Viper hero's body being coated with poison also helps it absorb some damaging spell effects.

Nethertoxin: Adds a powerful effect to your attacks. This gains power based on how weak the character you're striking already is. Only does half the damage boost against Dota buildings and creeps. It adds a maxximum of 128 bonus damage potential per hit if the target is extremely weak!

Poison Sting: Orb effect and a buff placer!! Slows attack speed of anyone Viper strikes with it and gives a minor DPS for a few seconds. This effect wears off quickly, but the shadow drake can re-cast it on them whenever he wants.
