nchantress is often seen as a hero who always enters the domain of the middle lane, the solo lane. Most people think this is because she needs to farm her way to carry status for lategame. This is a common misconception however, as her full potential is realized in the early and the middle sections of the game. Suprisingly enough, she tends to drop off during the lategame.

One thing may immediately jump out at you with this skill build, that thing will be the lack of maxing Nature's Attendants as soon as possible. From my testing early game one level is more than enough to keep you alive, this is however, only one of the reasons why. Since I play her in a dual lane the majority of the time so I can go out and help in ganks putting one point in Enchant is essential as this allows her to take control of one of the infamous stomp creeps and become a pseudo chen. Also, even with the slow only being 10% at level one it still has enough significance to help out in a gank or slow down an opposing gank to get away, as it is still early game. A point is also taken in Stats early game over Nature's Attendants because I believe them to be much more valuable than Nature's Attendants overall, helping buff you damage and health to a degree.

As usual, you are to max Impetus as quickly as possible, this is because Impetus is what makes Enchantress who she is, simple as that. The ability to dish out easy three digit numbers even in the early game is too tremendous to pass up on.

After you get level seven you will finish the maxing of Nature's Attendants, because at that point they become valuable to your and your team and lower levels will not be significant enough to help.

Untouchable is picked shortly afterwards once it becomes effective. Early in the game, most damage will consist primarily of nukes and as such Untouchable has literally no effect on the outcome of anything. By level 12 or 10 even melee will start to pickup as heroes will have aquired more advanced gear. The reason Untouchable is not taken at 10 and 11 is because Nature's Attendants, even then, is a more valuable skill.

Finish maxing out Enchant afterwards, nothing to explain here, it has the same use as it did before except with a bonus to the slow percentage.

Item Build

• 2 Null Talisman
• Boots of Travel
• Kelen's Dagger of Escape
• Necromonicon Level 3

The core of your build will consist of a couple of Null Talismans, which is pretty basic although I opt for two over three or four. These will help enchance your damage to a considerable level as well as giving you the mana to constantly use Impetus and keep a supply for Nature's Attendants or even Enchant. They will also give a considerable boost to your health. All of these bonuses are quite important.

Boots of Travel are the boots that Enchantress should be getting, no questions asked. Power Treads should never be considered over Boots of Travel, this is something I cannot emphasize enough. In order to successfully orb walk with Impetus you need the movespeed, Boots of Travel gives you just that. Boots of Travel will also help you farm up to your high end item and help out in the typical things such as ganking, escaping from ganks, helping with pushes, and helping defend the base from an oncoming onslaught. With all of these factors mentioned, it should come to no suprise that these will be your first main item after you complete both of your Null Talismans

Kelen's Dagger of Escape should be the next item on your list. Kelen's Dagger of Escape is an item that is often not mentioned when people discuss Enchantress for reasons I cannot understand, for Kelen's Dagger of Escape is an excellent item on her in all ways. As mentioned before on the subject of Boots of Travel you need to be able to chase to keep a steady stream of Impetus flying at your opponent. Kelen's Dagger can help you do that as well as being able to easily dish out the maximum amount of damage simply by teleporting backwards right after you launch your Impetus. Even though these reasons are good, the main reason you should be buying Kelen's Dagger of Escape is the same reason you would for any hero, an escape mechanism, which Enchantress, like a lot of other heroes, lacks. Kelen's Dagger of Escape can get you out of any bad situation when combined with Boots of Travel or a Teleportation Scroll as well as getting you out of most situations without one, it is simply an invaluable item on Enchantress as it is on any other hero.

After all of this comes the most controversial part of the item build, Necromonicon Level 3. As I have explained earlier, I play her as more of a hybrid than just a straight carry hero like most people do. Impetus pushes out enough damage even without a damage item and thus I prefer to skip Guinsoo's Scythe of Vise. Necromonicon Level 3 not only provides an ample boost in damage but also a tremendous boost in strength. Not only does it provide these benefits but it also gives those infamous summons, giving you both Mana Burn and Mana Break as well as a speed aura. The summons are invaluable, allowing you to scout areas for enemy heroes as well as enemy wards through the help of truesight. One thing I will mention though is that if you are having a hard time farming then you should go for Guinsoo's Scythe of Vise instead of Necromoncion Level 3. This is because the power of Necromonicon Level 3 drops off when late game comes around but Guinsoo's Scythe of Vise remains steady throughout the game.

Some other things to keep in mind are that even though they are not mentioned in the build you should always keep a Teleportation Scroll in your inventory until you get Boots of Travel for an easy escape mechanism. In order to do this walk into the fog of war and cast it, the majority of the time your opponent will not be able to react fast enough and you will get away. Another way to do this is to let your opponent waste their stun and then teleport away, most of the time you will live, if only with an ounce of life left.

If you feel the need to get wards, you may do so. I only recommend doing this with Enchantress if your team really needs a massive amount of wards or if your team is just neglecting to do so. This is because stocking up on wards will only delay your core build.

An item that you can get at any point in the game is Hood of Defiance, if your opponents team is filled with dangerous nukers such as Tinker or Zeus Hood of Defiance is a must. Nukers are your worst enemy and until you get Hood of Defiance you will likely get tossed aside like a rag doll in fights.

Strategy

Level 1-3

Start out by either picking up two Mantles of Intelligence, two Ironwood Branches, 2 Ancient Tango of Essifation, and a Clarity Potion or if you are designated to buy the Chicken you can do so and then pick up two Ancient Tango of Essifation, a Clarity Potion, and three Ironwood Branches.

After that head to either middle solo or a dual lane in bottom sentinel or top scourge. All of these lanes enable you quick and easy access to the neutral creep spawns to find stomp creeps. You should take one of them as often as possible, although if you get stuck in another lane you will be fine.

You should proceed by doing the typical creep block and then last hit and deny like you normally would. Keep in mind that with Enchantress you should put more emphasis on harrassing with Impetus than you should on last hitting and denying. If you harass well enough it should leave you the ability to catch up. Remember that when you harass with Impetus you should always animation cancel, to do this just immedietly move backwards once you cast your Impetus. This will allow you to hit bigger numbers on your Impetus as well as allowing you to get back to doing other things if only a little bit faster.

Remember to use your chicken to ferry yourself the pieces to the Null Talismans as well as Boots of Speed if you do get that far, which is doubtful. Never go back to your base unless you get to very dangerous health levels.

Level 4-7

If you are dual laning you should go out and help with ganks as much as you can, the damage from Impetus is tremendous in a lane, but attacking somebody unexpectedly can result in even more damage and is not to be missed out on. Always remember to check neutral creep camps to Enchant a stomp creep as often as possible to help in ganking. You should also be farming in the neutral creep spawns whenever you see fit, it is an easy way to gain uninterrupted experience and gold. This is especially useful when your creeps push too far and you risk getting ganked if you follow them.

Most of the things you do early game continue here except you should prioritize ganking since this is the ganking phase of the game.

Once you get level seven you officially hit monster status, since you can now orb walk with Impetus. Since this is the stage of the game of the game that you are the most powerful in, abuse it.

Level 8-14

Nothing really changes from level seven to level 14. Team battles and pushes should start around this period in the game which is when you will have Nature's Attendants to the point that they not only help you, but the rest of your team as well. Do make sure that if you are in dire need of them move out of the way so they do not jump to your teammates.

In the earlier levels of this point in the game you should keep abusing the power of your Impetus, as it starts to drop off a little bit after this stage of the game ends and the match enters late game.

By this point in the game you should have also picked up Boots of Travel and Kelen's Dagger of Escape, all of these help with tasks at hand and tasks that will come up later.

Level 14+

More emphasis on pushes and defense will happen at this point in the game. No matter which route you went, whether it was Necromonicon Level 3 or Guinsoo's Scythe of Vise you will be of aid to your team. If you decided to go the Necromoncion Level 3 route proceed to micro your minions to both Mana Burn and Mana Break your enemies. Also, do not forget to Enchant stomp creeps, as later in the game when your team has acquired more advanced weapons the stun is invaluable, just be careful about microing them.

If you went the Guinsoo's Scythe of Vise route you will still be able to deal significant damage as well as being able to cast the infamous Hex on your enemies, be sure to cast it on either the carry hero, or on the most dangerous disabler.

The Boots of Travel you acquired earlier helps a tremendous amoutn in this point of the game, allowing you to hop around the map from both defenses to pushes. It also has synergy with Kelen's Dagger of Escape, as I have mentioned earlier, it allows you to get out of a otherwise fatal situation. This is of utmost importance in the late game.

Final Summation

Enchantress is an extremely powerful hero who is often neglected in competetive metagame for reasons unknown. Do not let this stop you from using her however and develop your own builds for her, she is not as one sided as everyone puts her out to be.
