What I did to get videos from youtube saved on my hard drive was download Real Player, the free version coz this would put a "download" button on your browser. So like everytime you go to a website where theres a video on it, a download button would appear on top of the video, when you click on it, it would automatically download the video then store it on your library folder inside your real player folder on your hard drive.
